Gingerbread thank you

My daughter wants some cards to have at college to send out on her own.  She asked for some thank you cards and birthday ones.  She wanted the family addresses and felt she should send cards on her own since she is no longer a teen-ager.  I thought it was rather cute even when she asked for stamps.  Well, she is on the right track that she is at least acknowledging that other people exist in this world and that the family is important so I am proud of her and she is only twenty so I think she is doing pretty good.

I made this card using one of the newer Sugar Nellie digital images and a sentiment from TLC, Create.

Quick and simple

My daughter has been home from college and it has been great spending time with her.  We have been doing lots of shopping for some new clothes for her since she has lost weight.  I have been teasing her that she has cut into my crafting budget.  She has been so stressed with school this semester that I really worry about her.  I tried to spoil us today and we went for a massage which was wonderful.  It was rather relaxing that we had a hard time getting going afterwards.  We had to do some caffeine to get into our shopping.  I felt that I haven't had time to make cards in quite a few days so I made some quick and simple ones just to feel like I accomplished something.

I made a card using a digital stamp from TLC, Create that was in the last fall club.  Then I made a Thanksgiving card using this weeks Mojo Sketch.  Lastly, I made two cards using this weeks Splitcoast Sketch and sentiments from TLC.  One of the cards is for my Mom's Christmas present, since I am making her a bunch of sympathy cards.  I just love this font that is available in a great set from TLC, Create.  The Christmas card sentiment is also TLC, Create set that has a great image.

Sleigh ride

It's hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner as we start the first of October.  To me as I'm getting older the snow and winter is prettier on the cards than in person.  I guess it's a sign of old age when we no longer want to drive in the snow for the fear of possible car damage and rising insurance cost where in our youth we were exciting to get out in the snow and do winter activities.  Now the thought of putting on more layers is just exhausting in itself.  My card I made for Freshly Made Sketches and used a digital image from TLC, Create.

TLC, Create Blog Hop

It's finally here the TLC, Create Blog Hop and you should have arrived from Carla's blog.  If this is your first stop then to start, go to Cynthia's blog so that you don't miss any of the wonderful freebies.  The images are all wonderful and are "Celebrating Children" in honor of Childrens' Day.  Paulette from TLC, Create has donated all of these wonderful images that we will have along the way so make sure to go back TLC, Create to thank her for them.  She has a wonderful web site that has at least one if not several free images or sentiments per day besides lots of reasonable images available for purchase for every occasion.  She also has clubs where you receive emails of images and sentiments for a particular theme.  For example, the November club will be from October 8 - 17 and Paulette will be sending out word art, vintage papers, colored clipart, collages...of Thanksgiving, football and shopping.  When I receive the emails it is like receiving a present.  If you are interested in the November Club check it out here, and believe me the price is worth the amount of images and sentiments that you receive!

Your next stop is Rhonda and if I know her, she will have some wonderful project so enjoy, and remember to thank our generous host, Paulette at TLC, Create.

Check back with me in a couple of weeks, I am looking at giving away some blog candy.  Enjoy the rest of your fall weekend!

Chilly

I'm still here.  My work schedule has changed so that I'm going to be working day shift for a while now.  It has been a harder adjustment than I thought.  Yesterday I had a horrible migraine, and I think it is because I have not been on a day schedule since I was on a cruise with my Mother and Daughter in March.  Last weekend I worked night shift and then converted right away on Monday so I really didn't have a lot of time to adjust.  Then my daughter, Amanda came home on Thursday to celebrate her golden birthday.  We did lots of shopping.  Her schedule has kept her so busy that she has lost quite a bit of weight so she needed some new clothes.  Then my husband started radiation therapy on Friday so it really has been a whirlwind.  When I went outside yesterday, the wind was cool and fall is coming as I noticed all the leaves starting to fall.  We have a yard with LOTs of trees.

My first card uses a cute image from TLC, Create.  It comes as a set of four square images.  My second card is using the new SSSC sketch and another image from TLC, Create called Harvest Time.  My final card is using this weeks Splitcoast colors and sketch to make the card.  The patterned paper and image is from TLC, Create and the wreath is available in the Pink Christmas Set.

Monday Cards

Well I did it.  I actually worked a day shift today.  It has been over a year since I did one, and I worked the weekend so I worked Friday and Saturday night with getting done on Sunday morning having to adjust to going to work for Monday at 7am.  I have today off for an appointment later today, but I couldn't help it to stay up to work on a couple cards.

I did a card for Mo's Challenge with buttons using the adorable image of Baby Angel Castiel which I had colored quite some time ago.  I used the sentiment from TLC, Create.  I outlined the wing in Sakura glitter pen.  My second card is using the Mojo Monday sketch for this week and the new Verve stamp set of  Wonderfully Made.
