Have a moo-velous birthday

If you are looking for the Miss Rach Autumn Orange sample card see the post below.  This is the other card that I made today well I was commissioned to make of sorts.  I was asked by my son to make this for his girlfriend, and then he stopped by to pick it up today on his way to go visit it.  It isn't as though I got paid with $$$.  He did spend 15 minutes with me to help trim my long-hair Siamese cat.  I usually take her in to get her groomed since my husband passed she will get mats in her fur, but she gets so worked up and she sweats so badly through her paws and cries so I thought I would try to do it myself so she wouldn't have to travel.  We actually did an OK job.  My son would like to make cards with me when he was younger which is not something I'm sure he would tell his Army buddies, and he is great blender with Copics.  I don't mind making cards for people, except him since he is sooooo picky and fussy.  He once made me a layout sketch which I thought was near impossible to follow and that's how I made my first pop-up card.  He liked this card, except for that it was a pre-colored image since he expected me to hand colored it - though he thought it was cute.  His girlfriend worked on a dairy farm so we both thought it was appropriate.  I have a container of colored straws since I find them appealing and never know what to do what to do with them, but I made candles out of them.

Today starts a new challenge at Miss Rach  Autumn Orange and the FREEBIE with fox friend.  For my card I used a sentiment from a wonderful set at TLC that has 4 sentiments and 3 images.  I don't know if it is feeling like fall since tonight it is to get down into the low 20s and hopefully up to 54 by later in the day.  In northern WI, they had snow yesterday so I CAN'T complain.....yet.  I will just have to be like this adorable little fox and bundle up.  My Dad is planning to come and blow the leaves out of my gutters and bring my snow blower and then he takes my lawn mover so I don't have too much in my garage.  We will do some last minute yard work knowing him so my day will start early.

My son is my hero, GO ARMY

I realized this morning when I was making a card, that I hadn't made a card for my son for Veteran's Day so I  knew I had the perfect sentiment from TLC.  My son is attending college and in the Army Reserves; however, he has applied to go for Active Duty.  I know that he prefers the military life which is hard for me because I think it is a great service it is just that they take away all their rights.  So I can't call when I want or visit when I have time off.  They have so many restrictions and they haven't done anything wrong unlike people who are jail who happen to have more rights.  For all the people who serve I naturally don't want any harm to come to them since I do feel that they take such a risk to defend us.
So Happy Veteran's Day to all who do or have served and to Best Wishes to their families!

Happy Birthday and all that carp

Today happens to be my Uncles's birthday that came with my Dad to work on my house.  So I wanted to make him a special card so I did a different layout.  He likes to fish so I used a wonderful image from Miss Rach called Winter catfish which is available in her ETSY shop for $1.  I found the perfect sentiment from
TLC.

Oh deer, winter is here!

It sure feels like winter is here with the cold temps.  Miss Rach has the Brown Paper Challenge going until Friday the 13th.  I used the Deer Friend for my card which is available in the ETSY shop for $1.  There are also a lot of FREEBIES that can be used for the challenge. The sentiment is from a set at TLC.

So very thankful

My uncle did a lot of staining on the outside of my house so I made this as a thank you card for him.  He actually used a paint brush, but I found these images from Dr. Digi.  I put Glossy Accent on the paint to give it some dimension and shine.  The sentiment is from TLC.

I just think this Bugaboo image and sentiment is too funny.  I like to give some Christmas cards with humor for a couple of my friends.
