I wanted to get this done for the Gerda Steiner Progressive Challenge, but I had it done, just didn't get it posted in time.  However, it will work for other challenges and I think it is an adorable card.  I made it for a friend who is giving me a hard time that many of her conversations lately are beginning with, "Lisa and I...."  She is teasing me that I am a bad influence, and I told her no that I am teaching her life lessons. hehe

Back to school 3rd grade

My daughter will be graduating from college in just a few weeks, but she has a JOB!!!  She will have a degree in Early Education and will have a job as 3rd grade teacher in a rural school here in WI.  She won't be as close to me as I want, but she is excited to have her own classroom and glad she won't have to do sub work.  I'm so proud of her.  So here is a card that I made for her using a sentiment from TLC.
Now, I feel old when my daughter has a job in her "career" and is no longer "playing school".  It is different when I have to buy her items for her OWN classroom instead of going to school/college.

Spring is just ducky

We are having some gorgeous almost summer-like weather the past couple of days so no complaints.  I am going to a friend's home tonight for a cook out which seems like forever since we have been able to do that.  Tomorrow I have to admit a patient on Sunday so I wanted to post my card early today.  This image is from Imagine That called Rainy Day Fun and the sentiment is from TLC.  This card would work perfectly for the Imagine That Spring is in the Air Challenge which is going on until May 6th.  I did some paper piecing with this card which was just some extra fun.
