I made a girly birthday card using an adorable image from Pink Gems along with a sentiment from TLC.  I think I added everything I could to this card with flowers, ribbon and a button which are all of my favorite things besides die cuts which I think are on all of my cards.

TLC has this great vintage image along with several sentiments in this set.  For my card I did not color the image since I am using the card for a challenge that has no colored images.  I did get some colored money from the internet which I thought was a cute embellishment along with the metal heart.

Halloween tag card

Paulette at TLC had this great tag and paper for the Halloween club.  For this card I embossed the background. I edged the tag with Memento ink.  The black pennant just stuck out too much for me once the card was put together so I spritzed it with some Heidi Swapp color spray that gave it a nice glittery shine.

Miss you lots

Here is a card that I made to send to my daughter at college.  I went to spend the day after her 21st birthday with her since I thought she would like to spend her 21st with her friends. She told me that she cried because she didn't spend the day with me, and she doesn't remember a day where I didn't spend time with her on her actual birthday.  Her boyfriend agreed that she did cry so then I felt bad.  She is my baby.

Every leaf speaks

Fall is my favorite season because of the colors.  When we went "up north" to see my daughter some of the leaves are starting to change colors.  We are having variations in temperatures so that will bring about the changes.  I just don't like the raking that comes because we have a lot of big trees in our yard.  Unfortunately we have several that need to be cut because branches are falling and one that has died, and collapsed into a shed we have in the back.  The estimate is about $5000 to cut these trees down.  YIKES!

40th Anniversary

My daughter's birthday was on Friday, and my Aunt and Uncle's 40th wedding anniversary was on Sunday so we all celebrated together by going out to dinner.  We had a terrific meal.  Since I had to pick up some  balloons for my daughter, I also picked up an Anniversary balloon for my Aunt and Uncle.  My cousins attending with their babies so we had a great time.  Since these are the girls I babysat for many years ago it is funny to see them with little ones that now look like they did.  My camera battery died just before we got there and I forgot to pack my charger - urgh.

I just love this image for the month at Imagine That.  The beautiful sentiment is from TLC.  My husband and kids love hot cocoa and they would have a system of making it.  I just think winter hats like this are so adorable, but I can't see wearing it at my age.

Sending you blessings

I made this card using Spellbinder leaves and the sentiment is from TLC.  Tonight I went to the wake, for my friend's 33 year old son, and my heart goes out to any parent who has lost a child.  Mike introduced me to his other son ,which I had not met since I only know the children that he has with my friend, but Mike was so broken up it was painful to watch.  My friend Kris, his wife has had some health issues over the past few years and Mike has been remarkable about dealing with all of that even when she has been hospitalized and I have come over to help with wound care he has been very calm.  I have had patients tell me that it is the worse thing to lose a child and it is a pain that I don't want to feel since having my husband in hospice is difficult enough.  We had to wait a block down the street to get into the church this evening and then they had us sit in pews and go row by row.  I think everyone in the small town was there to support the family.  My leaves don't do justice to the beautiful bouquets of flowers and wreaths that were presented to the family as wonderful keepsakes. All I can do is to tell my children that "I love them.", because you never know what can happen in a blink of an eye.
