Friends forever

Paulette at TLC has a wonderful new set that is coming out and here is a preview of one of the sentiments.  The vintage image is also from TLC and I put a digital paper over the top that looks like an old piece of paper.  When I showed the card to my husband he said it was "pretty, but busy".  Lately with him being so ill, I have been making more CAS cards because he would get nervous and panic when I was downstairs working on a project as well as he has required much more of my time.  Today, while he took a nap I was able to work on this easel card.

Cupcakes make your clothes shrink

I need some birthday cards, and it is perfect that Bugaboo is having a birthday celebration so I used this image along with a sentiment from TLC.  On Friday I was able to spend some time with a friend who will be having her birthday the first week in February.  She was showing me a dress in her bedroom and I happened to notice all the cards I have made for her over the past year displayed on her bookshelf.  That made me feel good since I know she appreciates them.

Moon I love you

A Day for Daisies had a new release and this was one of their images which I just loved and had to get.  For the sentiment I used one from TLC that is part of six wonderful "love" sentiments.  I thought this would be a perfect card for my husband since he is into astrophotography.

Beer Happy 21st

This is the card that I made for my daughter to give to her boyfriend.  For this card, it is another image From the Heart and the sentiment is from TLC.  I had to add some Glossy Accent and Liquid Applique for the texture on the mug.  While my daughter was home it was interesting to have a drink one night with her since she is 21.

One martini

I finally had to get a few cards made for my daughter's boyfriend...it feels like it has been forever since I have been in my craft area.  Amanda left today to go spend a couple of days with Zach and then she has to go back early for some training since she is a RA at the Residence Hall.  It was sad to have her leave she has been a big help for me with my husband.  She has helped to remind him to take his medication and watch him take the pills (otherwise there have been times he has dropped them and I would find them the next morning when I was doing his cares), she has helped with meals and errands.  Hospice is going to send an aide in the evening for an hour to check on my husband while I'm at work which is great; however, I know he just felt more comfortable with Amanda.  I'm glad she will have a few days to relax with Zach before going back to school.  I had to make a card for her to give him as well as one from us.  This is the card from us.

When we all get to be kids

I got together with one of my best friends tonight and this is the Christmas card I made for her.  Her husband worked for the railroad for many years and now is a consultant, he also spends quite a bit of time playing with his hobby trains.  I thought this image from Mo Manning was perfect for them.  The sentiment is from a wonderful set from TLC which also has a Christmas image with a train.  I feel fortunate to have such wonderful friends, and Teresa and Greg spent Thanksgiving with our family this year.  She has been my supportive rock with all the grief that I have had, and is more like a sister that I never had.  She chucked when she saw the card and yelled for Greg to come see it so I was happy that they enjoyed it.
