Dear Autumn: Thank you

I have to remember to use other brands once in awhile and I just love Mo Manning especially this Liam in the Leaves along with a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I have tons of leaves that need to be raked; however, there is now snow piled on top and I don't know that we are going to have weather that will cooperate with being able to get them cleaned up anytime soon. We had the other snow melt, but are getting another couple of inches, but the temp is dropping to 29F/ -1.7C today! YIKES!!! We just aren't ready for this. Not like we have a choice...scarves, hats, mittens and boots.

A is for Autumn

Today at Catch the Bug is a new Stella Says Sketch and for my card I used Scarecrow Sitter and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  Right now all Halloween and Fall images at 40% off at Catch the Bug. Autumn is my favorite time of year, until I have to rake. We have had sooo much rain. I managed to get a quick walk in today before it started to rain...again. They say we don't have a good display of leaves also because of our rain and winds just knocking the leaves off the trees so we are not having the beautiful colors, argh. I have a few pictures as I leaving for work in the morning and tonight had a beautiful sunset.

Scarecrow gifts of Grace

I went for walks in my neighborhood this weekend since we had beautiful and unusually warm weather. In our area, we have had lots of rain so we haven't had a lot of the trees turn color yet. But I did see quite of geese at a pond in the  park resting and flying south. Also since we are getting some MORE rain, we had a wonderful sunset which pictures don't do justice.
For my card, I used an image from QKR Scarecrow Digital Stamp and a sentiment from TLC, Create. I used some die cuts oval and leaves.  I added some burlap ribbon.

I made a card using Block Watercolor Stamping.  There is a video here done by Jennifer McGuire.  I used Distress Oxide ink Fossilized Amber and then splattered some Distressed Oxide Vintage Photo on it.  I then put a sentiment from TLC, Create and distressed the edge with peeled paint distress ink.

We have been having cool weather and I noticed that the leaves are starting to turn already.  For my card, I used a sentiment from TLC, Create and I colored the background in digitally when I printed it.  For the leaves, I used my new Distress Oxide Inks and blending four colors and then cut the leaves out of the piece of paper.

Autumn is in the air

Here is was to be a beautiful day.....however....we are having rain again even though on the news last night they said it was only a 10% chance.  So with it being overcast and cool it does seem like fall has arrived.  When I went for a walk through the park the other day all the leaves had fallen off a tree, but they had not even changed color so it is just an odd year.  For my card, I used an image from Pollycraft and I tried to find it at Little Miss Muffet and I don't know if it is retired, but it is called Russel and the sentiment is from TLC, Create.
