Cake makes everything better.

This adorable sweet mouse is the new image of the month for Gerda Steiner and I used a sentiment from TLC, Create.  Fall is the time of year when I always think of baking.  Yesterday I made two loaves of chocolate chip banana bread, and took one for a friend who always has low potassium and I plan to deliver the other to a friend who is caring for his wife with Parkinson's later today.  I used to make them regularly for my kids and since I am alone I always find that people enjoy it and it makes me feel good to give it away.  I definitely don't need the calories, hehe.

a note of thanks

This adorable Pen Pal Bear is the stamp of the month for the Progressive Challenge at Gerda Steiner.  I made this card using a sentiment and paper from TLC, Create.  I  plan to give this card to my daughter who is a teacher and gets gifts from her students.  She had a student go to Hawaii and bring her back a fresh flower lei and several other items and I was just shocked.  We went to Hawaii as a family so my daughter was explaining to me the smell of the flowers and I was just picturing it also and thought it was just so sweet of the child and her family.

Make your mind a parachute

I always like the saying, "When pigs fly", and here is a spin of that.  Gerda Steiner has this pig with a parachute as this months stamp.  I added Glossy Accents to the goggles.  I used a sentiment from TLC.  I made this as a simple card with no embellishments so I can easily mail it and not pay extra postage which is rare for me.
