Well I didn't leave the country or fall off the face of the earth. I had to get all my Christmas cards mailed and packages which I tend to mail out about 60 cards and then have the special ones for my close immediate family. I had my last minute shopping to get done, and check my list twice. My boyfriend is off until after the holidays and I have been spending time with him, but that takes away from my "me" crafting time. The holidays turn people crazy and I dislike that. I hope that people remember the reason for the season. I agreed to help my boyfriend's daughter print some pictures that she was giving as a gift so we stopped at Best Buy to pick up some ink so I made sure I didn't run out in the middle of the process. It was Tuesday evening and they had only one register open and the clerk was beyond rude. I bought one movie and 3 inks and I asked for a bag and he pointed to the bags and I had to do it myself as he stood there and there was a line. I was appalled besides the interaction I had about my credit card and Reward Card. Then we went to PetSmart and there again there was only one register open, and the sales clerk was the opposite and as pleasant as she could be even with one of the dog toys we purchased didn't have a tag on it. And I couldn't pass up a new home for my cats, hehe.
My son is on a work trip and left after Thanksgiving and I'm sure when he will be returning home, but he is in South Carolina. I made this card for him since he is in the Army Reserves using an image and sentiment from
TLC. I embossed and distressed the sides of the card and made a gate fold card for him. I put a pom on the hat of Santa.
Sorry this was such a long post today.
Just wishing everyone Christmas Spirit!
