Plaid Floral Birthday Wishes

Welcome to my new follower Darcy. I am having fun playing with my inks...especially my Distress Oxides.  For these two birthday cards that I made for co-workers for this week I used two pink shades and blended the inks and stamped an old set of Hero Art stamps that I have had in my collection for a LONG time along with a retired Verve sentiment.

Thanks a bunch

On Sunday when I went for my brother's surprise party and I was talking to my Mom about the cards that I will make for her stash, I was asking if she wanted sentiments on the inside or blank like I made for my daughter. My daughter said that she needed more cards and so did my son. So I guess I need to increase everyone's quota of "stash" cards.  So I have more work than I thought, lol.
Since my daughter is a teacher she wants thank yous to give to her kids/families that help her or do something special.  So this one is made with an image from Imagine That Digistamp called Punny Thanks.

Butterfly Thanks

I like to make Thank You notes for my daughter who is a teacher.  Her students/parents are great to her.  Even when I went to a few weeks ago they had treats for Valentines Day and they had A LOT!  One of the parents sent money instead of sending a treat so that she could purchase something.  Obviously she didn't need the money so she wrote a thank you note and sent it back to the parent.
For this card I used some dies that I haven't used in some time.  Again, I am hoping that Spring comes soon.

Butterfly Floral Sympathy

I wanted to make a card for the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge since I love the colors of this week.  I used a pre-colored image from Image that Digistamp called Freda's Flower Basket.  This is a great set because it comes with three patterned papers, four sentiments as well as the black and white image to color.  This sentiment is from another set called Sentimental Thoughts and I inked the edges.  I always like to have some sympathy cards on hand for when the occasion arises since you don't like to make them when you are emotional in time of need.

TY from the bottom of my heart

My daughter is done with her student teaching and is ready to move on to her own teaching.  She was a hit with the students and was sooooo lucky.  In her classroom they collected money and bought her books and items for her fall 3rd grade classroom and she was in tears.  They also gave her a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and made her cards and stickers for her books.  I gave her all the thank you cards that I had, but this is another one that I made for her.  The vintage picture and sentiment are from TLC.

I have been working lots of hours and haven't had a chance to craft.  So the other night, I just had to make a quick card to try to relax.  So I used the Mojo Sketch and stamped a sentiment for a birthday card since I need several for this month yet.  This is what I was able to save my sanity with this week.
