Happy Birthday Tom

 Well I know it's been a long time since I have posted. I am in the processing of selling my house, but in July I moved into a condo.  I still have not unpacked my crafting supplies and my family was shocked that I had to have the movers come back a second day because I had soooo many things in my basement for craft supplies. Unfortunately my 13 year old Siamese cat passed away a month before the move and I was devastated. It was the first time that I was alone in the house. The day after I moved into my new place I got myself a new lilac lynx Siamese kitten that I named Polly after my great Grandmother Appolonia. This kitten is polydactyl, which is that she has an extra digit on each paw. So it's like she has a thumb and it looks like a mitten. Breeders consider it a sign of good luck and having her is she is my good luck charm. She is adorable and makes me smile and laugh.  So that's life. I am still trying to adjust to the new place and slowly find some time to craft.
I had to make a card for a friend who had a birthday this month. I used an image from Homebrew Herman from Dr. Digi's. And I put Glossy Crackle on the beer mug. I also used the background paper from Dr. Digi's beer backing papers.

Strange Friends

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug with the theme being "Ladies Night".  For my card, I used the image Make it Snappy - Friends and then a sentiment from TLC, Create. I added a pearl to the necklace, flower centers and the corner of the card. I put sequins with some bling scattered on the card. I have lots of layers with two pieces of ribbon/lace.
I have a group of friends that I have had for 30 years. We worked together in the hospital on a Medical/Oncology unit. When I say that we have been together through thick and thin that's putting it mild. I am so thankful for them since my family lives almost 2 hours away from me. So this card is perfect for any of the ladies and I will probably make a few more.  It's funny that our nights used to be wilder than they are now, but we still enjoy spending time with each other.

TMS 547 I wish you comfort

Today at TMS there is a new sketch challenge and I made my card using patterned papers and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I need to make a large stash of sympathy cards for my Mom and I just thought that these papers were perfect for it. I prefer to have these made ahead since they are so difficult to make when emotional and the mojo isn't flowing.  Maybe this card would be more appropriate for what is happening now.
Well I managed to find a microwave and it's the same brand as the 30 year old one that I had, lol.  I think we will be on lock down starting tomorrow, but I will still have to go to work. Be safe and take care.

Tulip 4 square card

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug and I used 4 Block Tulip Square. I know that so many challenges are starting to look at Autumn/Fall images, but I still want to savor in summer since I just feel like we haven't had it long enough even though Autumn is my favorite. I wanted bright colors so this is what I came up with. Life has been challenging lately so this is just what was needed.
