Let's celebrate the gift of you

My friend Andrea came up with this wonderful sketch last week at Tuesday Morning Sketches and I had it made, but just didn't get it posted.  The sentiment is from TLC, Create and the shaker is a pre-made that I picked up on clearance from Hobby Lobby. I embossed the white and pink papers. This is just a fun and magical birthday card for a young lady.

Merry Christmas Mom & Dad

I decided to make a shaker card for my parents for Christmas. I used a sentiment from TLC Create and a shaker kit from Kat Scrappiness.
Just for a quick update - NO squirrels in my attic, my Dad, brother and son came over last Sunday and found that it was a RACCOON!!! Since it was a lone raccoon it was probably a female since they den alone for the winter since they don't want a male around when they have their babes. She didn't want to leave my warm attic, but with MUCH coaxing from the guys she left. They cleaned up the mess she made, put some new insulation in and replaced the screen on my fan that she ripped out to get in. She tried to come back for several nights which I didn't appreciate and the temperature dropped. So it got quite cold and windy so I'm sure she found a new shelter.

Happy 10th Anniversary on St. Patrick's Day

To those who celebrate it: Happy St. Patrick's Day!

A good friend asked me to make a card for her son and daughter in law's 10th Wedding Anniversary which was on St. Patrick's Day. I used a sentiment from TLC, Create and patterned paper. The sentiment is hard to see behind all the sequins in my shaker heart. I put a sticker on the other heart. Naturally I had to include a shamrock and ribbons.  The sequins are gold and there is gold in the bottom ribbon which did't photograph well.

Imagine That Digistamp has a new release today with the beautiful image of Kimmie's Reindeer Friend and this wonderful set is 50% off for this week.  I made this a shaker easel card.  I used a sentiment from TLC that was just in the last club.  I just think this is a fun set and brings a smile to my face seeing this sweetie.  I hope you like her too.

Congratulations on your hopes

I found out that I have another cousin that is pregnant and she is also expecting a girl.  So I now know of three people who are pregnant with girls.  I will see my cousin this weekend so I wanted to get this card made for her.  I used the pre-colored image from Imagine That Digistamp called Pregnant Peggy.  I made this a shaker easel card.  The sentiment is from TLC.

Tomorrow is my daughter's 24th birthday, and I am driving 120 miles in the EARLY am so I can spend the whole day with her in her 4th grade classroom.  I have not spent the whole day with 9 and 10 year olds since I volunteered once in her classroom so this should be interesting.  She enjoys working with children whereas I work with the elderly so we are different spectrums.  I have a bunch of party stuff to take to the classroom for my princess since she has ALWAYS been one.  The poor boys of this classroom will have to bear with me, but I did get some black horns and blowers so it isn't all pink.  I was going to drive tonight, but it is raining and I don't want to drive in that so I will just get up early then I won't have to pack so much.

For my card, I used the newest Verve stamp set and made a shaker card out of the flower.  I gold embossed the sentiment.  I dry embossed a brick looking background.  I also used the paper and sequins pack that came with the stamp set.
