Survived Halloween

Well, I can't believe we are into November.  I wore my winter coat yesterday since the wind sends a real chill.  I love fall; however, I do not care for the cold winter season...funny that I live in Wisconsin.  I sent a package to both of my step-kids with their Halloween cards along with some pumpkin decorations for fall and a Christmas countdown calendar.  That is one thing that my kids would always fight over who would get up first and move the Santa on the Christmas tree that had the numbers to countdown to Christmas.  I laughed to my son, that since his sister was gone last year he could move it every day.  He didn't do it...I guess it wasn't as much fun if there wasn't the fight over it.  I said it didn't pay to put it up, and that I would buy a new decoration to replace it, but I was told by both of the kids that it was a tradition and that I couldn't do that.  So, since my step-kids are 29 and 26, I thought they could start there own tradition.  Unfortunately, for my step-daughter, Danielle, she is going through a break up after a several year relationship which is always difficult.  Paulette at TLC had a great sentiment for that the other day so I used that in a card that I made for her.  I had to get my husband to help photograph it with my light box because of the peach velum it was difficult to do.
My second card uses a wonderful image from Grands9creation, and paper from TLC, Create.

  1. Hi Lisa your cards are lovely your so creative, I love your black flower what's it made from? It looks like it's knitted with white stitching....I can't tell from the photo. I know your stepdaughter will love it as it's especially made with love for her by you. I love your story about your mice, my mother always said if you see one, there is always 2 or more and she was so right. We haven't had them for a few years. But they start coming in when we leave the doors open, and the weathers getting a little colder in the Autumn. I know they love peanut butter and it's the easiest way to catch them on the trap. You sound just like me I do most of my crafting in the late evening. I do hope you weren't effect by Sandy I've been watching it on TV and see the devastation in New York I feel so so sorry for those people. Take care I'm off to bed for an early night 10pm I've got a big day tomorrow Liam has orientation day at his new secondary school next year he'll be in year 9 as he's just turned 13. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
    Hugs always
