One of my good friend's had her Mother pass away on Saturday morning. I have known her for 28 years and we have been nurses together and have taken care of end of life people; however, it is different when it is your family. I know from taking care of my husband until his last breathe so I feel for her taking care of her Mother in the same way. Her Mother fought her all the way. For example, she was filling with fluid at the end so her underwear wasn't fitting and her Mom was a very vain person that would ALWAYS have her hair and make up done everyday no matter how she felt so when she wasn't able to wear her undergarments because they were too constrictive for her, she was so upset with her daughter who she thought took away all her dignity. I'm surprised that my friend, Karen, didn't put an iron in her coffin since she ironed everything including her underwear. As far as it can go....she did look good in her casket. So here is the card that I made for my friend, Karen and her family. The perfect sentiment is from
TLC, Create, and one I use a lot.
