You have my full support!

I made this card for Mom who had breast cancer eight years ago.  And we talked about it yesterday about her treatment since we know of someone else in the family who was diagnosed with a different cancer.  I worked in Oncology Reserach for 8 years and have spent much of my nursing career working with cancer patients.  I think that it is great that we support breast cancer; however, I wish we had support for all cancers and weren't so specific for just breast cancer.  Unfortunately there are so MANY types and the others don't get the same recognition and support.  All cancer sucks and no treatment is fun or goes on without interrupted the person's life.  I lost my husband almost four years ago to cancer and it was hard to watch him deteriorate over time. Cancer affects EVERYONE!
For my card, I used a set from Imagine That Digistamp called BCA Full Support and paper from Awareness Ribbons Pink as well as the Sweet Shoppe.  I did paper piecing on the bra.

Patterned Paper:  Imagine That Digistamp - Awareness Ribbons Pink; Sweet Shoppe
Cardstock:  Paper Studio; Recollections
Stamp & Sentiment:  Imagine That Digistamp - BCA Full Support (see above for direct link)
Dies:  My Favorite Things & Spellbinder

  2. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Lisa Lynn! Awesome card, paper piecing, papers, and sentiment! My mom had breast cancer in 2006 and was cancer free for 10 years before it (cancer cells) came back and took her life in March of 2016. I hate the awful disease and what it does to patients and families!

    Hugs,
    Brenda

  12. Your card is a hoot and I love the support sentiment, it's soooo pretty too.
I agree with your sentiments about cancer, my Dad died of it, in the most awful way 38 years ago, when it was not discussed, we were told he didn't have cancer and died 7 months later. Just awful.
