My Mother's birthday is the first week of May so this is a card that I made for her using a sentiment from TLC, Create. Not sure if this will be her Mother's Day card.  The flower from Prima flower came with bling in it so I added bling and pearls in the die cut.

Today there is this beautiful release of a Friday Freebie at Catch the Bug.  I used this Bugaboo image along with a sentiment from TLC, Create.
I made this card a while back so this sketch is no longer current.  Work has been going well and I enjoy learning challenges.  I have wonderful co-workers and a positive environment.  The problem that I ran into is that the past weekend I had abdominal pain and thought that I was passing a kidney stone.  My best friend and daughter made me go in and be evaluated to find out that it was actually my appendix and I had emergency surgery on Sunday morning.  Luckily I was able to go home Sunday night.  I took off Monday and Tuesday and have been back to work full time since.  I come home exhausted so that's why my comments are short.

Betty's Sympathy Card

Before I started my job, I was helping my best friend with her Mother.  She has been failing over the past year, and was in the hospital for a week before she went to hospice to pass away.  There was disagreement among the family about her care and how to handle end of life issues such as hydration, antibiotics and pain medication which was unfortunate for her mother, Betty.  She is at peace now.  This is the card, that I made for my friend using the sentiment from TLC, Create.
Yesterday we got 7.5 inches of snow which should melt by this weekend when we should have temps back up in the high 50's.  This weather is so unusual.  So my parent's Anniversary party is rescheduled for June 9th because they ended up getting 20 inches of snow!!!

Back up my hard drive?

Well it's a new Stella Says Sketch at Catch the Bug.  For my card I used Stella Tidbits - Hard Drive. I put Glossy Accents on her glasses.  This is how I feel about my computer since my husband did all the things with it, lol.
This is the weekend that my parents are having their 50th Anniversary party.  My Mom didn't want it in February because she was worried about bad weather; however, here this weekend it is raining and it is suppose to have rain/sleet/snow.  So it will be interesting.  I will see what pictures that I am able to get since she will not agree to having a photographer.  My best friend was going to go along to take photos, but her Mom was hospitalized and now is being put into hospice care so she isn't going to go along.  Change in plans...since the weather was so bad today the restaurant called and canceled the Anniversary party for my Mom and said they would call her on Monday to reschedule.  They got 8 inches of snow and are getting more besides had freezing rain first so cars are just sliding off the road.  So she had to call everyone to tell them and has 150 cupcakes to freeze to save for another day.  She had balloon arrangements that will have to be redone.  The big thing is keeping everyone safe. It's just funny she didn't want to have it in February when their actual Anniversary was since she was afraid of the weather instead waited until April when she thought it would be nice and SURPRISE it was worse than anything we had back then.  Someday we will laugh, but not today.

Happy Mother's Day

There is a new release today at Catch the Bug, and it is adorable. I had to color the flowers purple and put the little girl in peach.  I made this a Center step card, which is one of my favorite layouts. I put gold washi tape on the sides.
I'm sorry if I haven't been around to make comments...with working I feel like there aren't enough hours to craft, get online to post comments, clean my house, make meals and keep up with errands. I need to find an elf, fairy or hire someone to help me out, but I've only had one paycheck so that's not going to happen for sometime.  So please be have patience with me if I don't get to see everyone's beautiful creations in a timely manner like I used to do.

Fish Tremble

My son has his Golden Birthday coming up, but I wanted to get the card done so I can mail his present out to him.  He loves to fish so I made this criss cross card for him using a Bugaboo image Boy Fishing Digi stamp along with a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I dry embossed one flap of the card and put Sakura jelly glitter pen on the fishing line and the firefly trails.  My son is picky and doesn't like to get a standard card, so I thought I would give him a card design that I had not made for him before.
