I know that I said a while back that I was having problems with my sinuses which I have had an infection since June. I saw Allergy and they gave me a strong antibiotic for 10 days...and I still continue to have disgusting stuff that comes out. I photograph it just so I can show them. To make it worse...there are times because of the drainage with the congestion I feel like I can't breathe. Obviously I am a nurse and I know that I am breathing; however, I feel like my airway is restricted and I have been having panic attacks. I have never had them before so this is freaking me out. Then to make a long story short....they are carrying over to other parts of my life because the more that I try to control them the worse they get. There are times that my socks, bra or other clothing bother me and I have to get out of them or change them because I feel claustrophobic or lumps/bumps are problems. Then I get mad at myself. I stopped wearing necklaces that feel restrictive on my neck. I have talked to my doctor and she offered to prescribe me something to relax me, but I am too stubborn to give in. I now have an appointment to see ENT in mid December. I saw my homeopathic healer who has made a remedy for me in the past and it's been over a year since I took any and he asked if I was ever in a restrictive environment....well that was my entire first marriage. Then we have come to realize that I might be suffering from symptoms of being the same feelings I had when my exhusband physically restrained me or used to pin me down. WOW! Didn't think that my sinus infection would bring up that snot!!! lol So my heart goes out to everyone who suffers with anxiety and panic attacks. I am hoping that I can get this sinus stuff handled and that this will all stop, but I have a different understanding.
Now.....for my card today....I used a wonderful image from

Your sinus problem sounds awful Lisa, who would think that it would have such an effect to cause you panic attacks. I do hope that the ENT appointment produces good results and that you feel better very soon.

Your card is super cute! I love the plaid paper and dog image. So glad you joined us at Tuesday Morning Sketches!
ReplyDeleteThe sinus situation sounds awful! Do you use a neti pot? When I have problems that's what I use. Earlier in the season I had a sinus cold for two weeks and it was one of the nastiest I had ever had. I hope they find what's bothering you and you feel back to your normal self soon!!! Hugs from Oklahoma!
So very pretty card!

Oh no, Lisa Lynn, this sounds just awful and it's spread to so many other areas of your life. I really hope you can get some help from the ENT to get this under control. Your ex-husband sounds like a real prince; glad he's your ex. Sending hugs, my friend. But on a positive note, your card could not be any cuter, what a precious puppy!

ReplyDeleteThat doggie is adorable and I love the traditional Christmas colors of that plaid background! It's a great take on the sketch, and thanks for playing along.
ReplyDeleteAside from your card, your post raised a red flag for me with the panic attacks. I was given an antibiotic called Avelox which gave me full-blown panic attacks for nearly 5 months after taking just one dose. I'd never had one in my life until that point, but it was horrible. After doing much research, I learned it's a very rare side effect of that antibiotic in the Fluoroquinolone family. I hope you can figure it out and get relief.
Hope your health problems get sorted soon.
ReplyDeleteAdorable card. Thank you for joining in the challenge at CHNC with an optional twist of Make Your Own Background.
