Well so far I'm getting my Christmas cards done at least a couple each month so I'm happy about that. This week at Christmas Card Throwdown the challenge is to do a herringbone technique. The have links for it on the site.  Lately I have been like I don't have time to learn new things, but since I can't go shopping at non-essential stores I found some extra time, lol. Since I still haven't found the desire to clean. Getting supplies right now is taking FOREVER, even with Amazon Prime. So I was fortunate that Target had some spray adhesive so that's what I used to adhere my strips.  I cut them 1/2 and 3/4 inch wide and oh my I had FUN! My sentiment is from TLC, Create. I did some die cuts and a bling and there you go!

It's a Girl Thing

Today at Catch the Bug it's New Release or an older image is brought into the new store. Today we have this sweetie Boo Teddy Bear.  It's perfect for the little girl card which I have a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I made this a rocker card. Well most of time I think I'm off my "rocker" which is more appropriate, lol. Depending on how long this quarantine goes on we may need to have a good stash of baby cards, just saying.

Hello Sunshine

I wanted to make some cards for a few friends that are struggling with being home during this quarantine time. I know this is hard with the unknown and it's frustrating on our schedules and lives. There are days that I wish that I could stay home because my house is a cluttered mess and I would love to just stay in and craft. However, hi ho it's off to work I go. In the meantime, I made this card, using some die cuts, fun papers and naturally some bling.

Yappy Birthday

Well my Grandpup's birthday is coming up so I had to make him a birthday card. Well it's also time for a new Stella Says Sketch at Catch the Bug and I used one of the images from the Birthday Puppies Set. The sentiment I heat embossed in gold is from My Favorite Things, Pups and Kisses.
Gus is having a hard time and "acting up" for my daughter. She is a 4th grade teacher and both her and her significant other are working from home right now. Gus usually went to doggy daycare on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and then went to school with my daughter on Fridays. So now he just goes to daycare once a week. He is a social dog so he won't cuddle or listen to my daughter. I think he is upset because of the change in his routine. She is devastated. This quarantine and staying home is affecting EVERYONE! We don't always realize that our critters don't understand what is happening.

Penguin Gift

I made this card a while back, but just haven't had a  chance to post it. I am trying to meet my quota of several Christmas cards a month.  This is using a Bugaboo image called, Poppi Penguin Christmas Present. I did this in non-traditional Christmas colors, and I dry embossed the backgrounds.

This last week it was my son's 24th birthday. He is a child that used to craft with me when he was younger. Now he expects a new style/design each year for his birthday, no pre-colored images and that I would give him a hand made card naturally. Well he has been in the military, moved out of State and I just make this happen because that is what us Moms do!!!  So this year he got a pup so I made him a card using the image from Your Next Stamp, Make it Rain.  I had some gifts for him, but obviously he enjoys the cash. I had the image pop out of the card, and added some washi tape with stripes. To make it wiggle/move I used a wobble device.

Awareness Angel

Today at Catch the Bug there is an older image that is moved into the new store Ribbon Prim Angel 01.  For my card, I made it a breast cancer awareness and used a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I have a co-worker going through chemotherapy right now so this is perfect to give to her.  Even with all the crazy things happening she is getting her treatments and still working. Check out the Catch the Bug website for my co-workers did awareness of other conditions. So this image is great for so MANY things.

Birthday Fish Gift Bag

Today at Catch the Bug it's Anything but a card, and for my sample I used an image from the Under the Sea Birthday Set and put it on a gift bag that I picked up. My nephew's birthday is coming up and he loves the color purple so I thought this would be so fun to put some treat in it for him.  I missed not seeing him for Easter.  I talked to my sister - in- law tonight and he apparently is telling my parents that his new teacher Mrs. Jackie is horrible. This home schooling is difficult for family life, and I just have to laugh and am glad that my own children are in their 20's. I know that I would not have patience for it. So I say my prayers for all the extra stress on those in quarantine dealing with homeschooling and stress of spending too much time together.
