He is Risen

I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy. I am still working, but my work as a nurse has been slow. I work in insurance and we have less people having surgery and in the hospital. But the people in the hospital are sick. It just makes me sad that no matter how sick they are they can't have many visitors, even if they are dying which breaks my heart. So that's why I craft....to deal with my stress. I was asked why I am making so many cards right now. I cannot see my family or friends and I know that people are suffering physically and emotionally so that is my way of dealing with it.
And for the upcoming Easter holiday in another vintage looking card, I found a freebie image that I had in my stash from Magic Moonlight and a sentiment I put on the bottom from TLC, Create.  I distressed the papers. I added a couple of butterflies with some bling, some roses and a gold ribbon.

I am on a vintage kick this past week. I think it's because Easter is on my Grandmother's birthday and I miss her and it brings back memories of old.  So here is a Christmas card that I made using a sentiment from TLC, Create which I covered with Distress ink.  I used the image from Graphic Fairy.  I distressed the edges of my paper and cardstock.  I added a feather that I had behind the image.

Breast Cancer Angel 3

Here is my final Breast Cancer card for my Aunt Marian, my Mom's younger sister.  My Mom is in a family with 13 children and there are 10 girls and now 3 have breast cancer, besides my Grandmother.  So this is a very dear subject to me. Her sisters were just diagnosed this year so they are all doing genetic testing.  For this card, the image is from Bugaboo Ava Heart 1 and the sentiment is from TLC, Create.  The ribbon background patterned paper is from Imagine That Awareness Ribbons Pink Papers.

Breast Cancer Angel

As it happens my Mother is a 9 year survivor of breast cancer this year so this is the card that I made for her. Now she has two sisters that were diagnosed this year with breast cancer so I will also be making them cards as well with variations of this image and sentiment.  So my Mom with be getting genetic testing done this year since my Grandmother also had breast cancer....so we will see what that means for me and my daughter.
