Gardeners

Well I am not a gardener. My Dad was a potato farmer; however, I have no desire to have a garden, heck I can't even keep plants alive. The cat I have now I don't think would bother a plant, since she doesn't go after flower bouquets like my male cat did. She went and got a hair cut today so she had enough drama. I went out to get some groceries the other night and when I came home....my garage door wouldn't open. Today I had a repair person out and as my Dad predicted "my spring was out." Needless to say $600 later I can get my car in the garage and we missed garbage day. So obviously I did some coloring to try to help my stress and got this new image from Twistoon and a sentiment from TLC, Create.

I have a co-worker who is struggling with the Co-vid virus and all the precautions. She suffers from OCD and then having this added is just too much. But trying to give her a card is difficult because she won't open it. So I thought that I would email it to her. Tim Holtz has the Snarky Cats, which fits her personality. So I made a CAS card with a stencil and some doodles.

Birthday Wishes Balloon Bear

Hope you had a Happy St. Patrick's Day if you choose to celebrate. I am far from Irish, but I had to wear some wild green stretch leggings that made me look like a leprechaun today, lol.
Today at Catch the Bug we had a new release of  Balloon  Bear 02. For this I kept it simple with stenciled clouds, Glossy Accents on the balloon, and sentiment from My Favoritey Things.  And it had to be green for St. Patrick's Day, hehehe.

Love and a teddy bear

Today I am a Guest Designer for Joy of Sets and they have a Challenge with an October tic tac toe board. For my sample card I used a Mo Manning image, Elke and Bear and a sentiment from TLC, Create. For this I used the row of Bronze/ Apples / Emboss.  I used a couple of bronze brads that I found and I dry embossed the brown cardstock.  If you know when I make cards for my DT for Bugaboo I like to do all the elements in the BINGO, and I found that too challenging with this board so I made another card.

Princess Amanda has a birthday

I am so fortunate that my daughter is a school teacher so I am able to spend the day with her in her in her classroom while she teaches.  It is wonderful to meet her students, take a birthday treat to share with them and get to see her in her professional role. This is her 4th year of teaching and she has students that come back to say Happy Birthday and even who spend time in her classroom during their lunch. It was fun, yet exhausting.
She has always been my princess so she got a princess cake and....card.  I stenciled the background. The crown is a die cut and I added gems/bling.

Raising Teenagers

Today starts a new Stella Says Sketch challenge and I couldn't resist using a Stella image for a friend who is having some difficulties with her teenage son.  The image is Stella Summer Block - Teenagers and Flowers.  I don't have the secret answer on how to make it work since I had definite challenges with my son; however, we have a great relationship now and I am thankful for that.

Winter Is...

Today at Catch the Bug it's Friday Freebie again and there is this adorable image of Winter Birds - Skate.  For this I used a sentiment from TLC, Create.   When I was a kid, we used to skate during our recess after lunch which would never happen now due to safety concerns.  We had a blast and I used to skate with my children. I think that it would be helpful to have our youth do more play outside instead of all the inside computers and games.  Oh well, what do I know.
