Rose Embossed Birthday Card

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug and it's to make a CAS card. Now I think that I have said this many times, but they freak me out with white space. And especially if it is flat and not dry embossed. So this week, I made two cards just to force myself to have to do it.  It is using the image from a set, Mini Set Roses and I flipped the one image so it would be facing the other direction. I then heat embossed the sentiment. I put the panel on a piece of patterned paper and let just a 1/4 of an inch show before mounting that onto white cardstock. Then I did one in yellow.

Patterned Paper: Echo Park
Cardstock:  Recollections
Stamp:  Bugaboo - Mini Set Rose (see above for link)
Sentiment:  Stampendous
Versa Mark
Embossing Powder: Hampton Art
Sakura jelly glitter pen

  1. So pretty in both colourways. Love it when you enjoy a card layout so much you just have to try it in different colours. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards, hope to see you join in with future challenges too.

  11. You shouldn’t fear going CAS because you’ve clearly got an eye for it. I think these are lovely, not at all plain, simply beautifully clean.

  13. Lovely couple of CAS cards Lisa Lynn. I know what you mean about white space - it is a little intimidating, isn't it? But I love what you have done here. Thank you for joining us at The Alphabet Challenge :) Lynda DT
