Poinsettia with embossing

The past few years it has been my goal to make at least 2 Christmas cards each month and I have done well.....until this year. I'm quite behind in my holiday cards. I have tried to do some cleaning in my craft area and I found this wonderful freebie from Beccy's Place that I colored long ago and had sitting in a pile waiting to be put together. So I played instead of cleaned....again. I dry embossed the background and heat embossed the Tim Holtz sentiment.

CIJ Day 6 at CTB Stella Dear Santa note

Today it's Day 6 of the Catch the Bug Christmas in July celebration and the theme is to use an Old but Goodie image with the photo. For my center step card I used Stella Dear Santa Note.  I also put a banner with bling over the image and a charm in the corner. The patterned paper and two corners have poinsettias.
For Julie's card I chose a card from back in 2015 when she had a similar layout using sassy Gus.

Make it snappy - Happy Birthday

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug and being that it's the beginning of the month, it's Anything Goes.  For my card I used Make it snappy Happy Birthday.  I used Glossy Accents (grabbed the correct bottle this time, lol) and Stickles. So I have sparkle and shine. This is a card that I made for my Mom's birthday stash.

Coffee and friends...the perfect blend

Today I again, wanted to make cards for the Fall Coffee Blog Hop, but I did make cards, but I needed to make for an upcoming DT release so I wanted to get my samples done and I still have one more that I am thinking on how I want to do it.  Then I went to a friend's so we could do our weekly Sunday "take the baby Granddaughter for a walk".  After that we ordered pizza and talked and then I came home to watch the Green Bay Packers which was disappointing.  Then finally I got a chance to make a few after a late night...when I should be sleeping.  So here is one, using an image and sentiment from TLC, Create.  If you go to the TLC, Create site, Paulette has some wonderful freebies that are perfect for the coffee blog hop.

I got the new release of stamps from Verve and had fun making this card.  I was also able to use the new dies.  It was nice to not have the sentiment be on white paper and actually be on patterned paper.
