Plaid Floral Birthday Wishes

I am having fun playing with my inks...especially my Distress Oxides.  For these two birthday cards that I made for co-workers for this week I used two pink shades and blended the inks and stamped an old set of Hero Art stamps that I have had in my collection for a LONG time along with a retired Verve sentiment.

CIJ Day 7 at CTB Knobby Knees Christmas Sack

Today is the last day, day 7 of the Christmas in July at Catch the Bug and the theme is a Friday Freebie with a Color Challenge. You don't have the Friday Freebie.  For my card, I used a sentiment from TLC, Create.  This is emotional since this is my Design Team post. Due to all the demands with working full time as a nurse it has been difficult to meet the requirements of all that's required for the DTs.  I have met so many wonderful people and have gained such inspiration along the way.
And the inspiration for the design for my card, came from a card that Julie made back last August after she returned from having surgery and she was so excited to return. So it's just the opposite of what I am doing, but it was also a watermelon photo.

CIJ Day 6 at CTB Stella Dear Santa note

Today it's Day 6 of the Catch the Bug Christmas in July celebration and the theme is to use an Old but Goodie image with the photo. For my center step card I used Stella Dear Santa Note.  I also put a banner with bling over the image and a charm in the corner. The patterned paper and two corners have poinsettias.
For Julie's card I chose a card from back in 2015 when she had a similar layout using sassy Gus.

CIJ Day 5 at CTB Gus Christmas I tried

Today it's Day 5 of the Christmas in July celebration at Catch the Bug and the theme for today is to make us laugh. For my card I used the image, Gus I tried Christmas List.  I feel that is my list too, lol. I added Glossy Accents to his glasses and Sakura Jelly Glitter Pen to the ornaments.  Gus doesn't look too sorry that he downed a few beers, it must be his weekend binge which is like a lot of people who I know around here. Good thing he has those reindeer. I actually did a CAS card even though I just had to put a strip of patterned paper....too much white freaks me out, lol.  Welcome to A. Rose my new follower who I have seen on both my design teams and she has lots of great creations.
I am showing a sample card for Julie's that she has a Santa having a summer drink to relax that she made back in 2014 which is a cutie. And she had a strip of patterned paper on the side.

CIJ Day 3 at CTB Christmas Blessings Drummer Gift Bag

Today it's Day 3 at Catch the Bug Christmas in July celebration and the theme is Anything but a Card. For my project I actually used the Cheerful Sketch for the month on a gift bag using Deacon Drummer and the sentiment is a retired stamp from Verve. For July I kept with a Red, White and Blue theme for this project.

This was Julie's last project on 5/4. That day she posted how excited she was to be

scheduling her surgery. She was so positive and determined.
