Best things are made with LOVE

I colored this stamp some time ago, but finally put the card together.  This card uses the SOTM From the Heart. I used a wonderful sentiment from TLC.  I was able to use three different embossing folders.  I added Sakura jelly roller to the snow on the image and Stickles to the hat to give some sparkles and glimmer.

Today is your day

Later this week, I will be attending my son's graduation from the Army Reserves at Ft. Leonardwood, MS. I will be taking some vacation time to drive for that.  I am very proud of his accomplishment. He was able to be home for the Christmas holiday, and he lost 25 pounds. He was very strict in his eating while he was home....I haven't seen him eat fruit since I fed it to him in baby food jars. So some of it isn't a bad thing. I actually was sad to see him leave again to go back.

Sorry for the loss of your Father - Daddy

I have a dear friend who lost his brother on December 24th.  As it would be, this man had is eosphageal cancer recur and lost his health insurance at the beginning of December.  He had lost a lot of weight and subsequently strength.  My friend, his brother who lives next door to him was checking in on him daily, but he did fall and his daughter found him in the morning when he wouldn't answer his phone.  He insisted upon coming home from the hospital even though he was weak knowing it would be his last Christmas at home in the house he grew up. His brother agreed to take care of him, and I said I would help since I am a hospice nurse. He was only home 18 hours, when he passed away.  He didn't want to be a burden to his daughters that are only 20 and 22 years old.  This is the card that I made for them.  It was a tri-shutter card that they used thought was so nice and attached it to the donation box for the collection for their Dad.  I made it using the colors for the Wisconsin Badgers and Packers which is what people were requested to wear to honor Jerry.
