Bunnies

I saw this paper yesterday at Archivers by Doodlebug with the little bunnies on it and thought it was just adorable so I had to make a card with it right away.  It is the perfect colors for this weeks Color Throwdown.  Then I had colored this image from "A Day for Daisies" from their new release which I think is rather Hippie which was perfect with the colors for Colour Q.

Blue birds

We have had some unusually warm weather until yesterday when it was around 48 which is more the normal for this time of year.  Since I was on vacation last week, I came home and now have daffodils that are blooming.  I can't believe Easter is almost here.  I made a card using "A Day for Daisies" new image and they have a challenge for blue birds.  I put a pop dot on the bird so he would stick up which you can see better in the second picture.  My next card is using "Carly" from "Mo's" digital image for the bling challenge.

Cruise

I have not been lost, I have been enjoying the Bahamas with my daughter, Amanda and my Mother for the past five days.  We had a wonderful escape!  Now I am back to reality and have started the massive laundry.  My sister-in-law did a wonderful job at making several meals for my husband.  And my 16 year old son did an excellent job at taking care of my husband while I was gone.  I also had friends calling and checking on him so he didn't get as much rest as normal.

I did miss making cards and checking out all the blogs and websites so I hope to get back to that soon!

Last green

I am far from Irish so I don't have a lot of St. Patty Day cards to send.  I do like the color green, but I am a little tired of it.  I much prefer the pastels of spring.  We are having a great spring-like, well actually summer like day here in Wisconsin in which I think we will set a record for our temp here of 78 in March.  We are 30 degrees above normal for this time of year.    I'm just afraid that things are going to start to bloom since we are suppose to have a week of this and then it will freeze again.  Time will tell.  Hope you are enjoying some beautiful weather.

Dream Big Plans

My daughter, Amanda, was home from college this weekend and we were planning spring break vacation.  It is going to be my daughter, my Mom and myself so it will be a "Girls Trip".  Amanda is so excited I don't know how she is going to get through this next week.  Last night we finalized the arrangements so we are planning to go on a cruise.  My -ex said that he needed to know where we going to make sure it was safe.  After 11 years the man is still trying to control my life and I just can't believe it.  My Dad and brother go on hunting trips so my Mother is looking forward to going with us for some relaxation.  I still send Amanda weekly cards at college, and this will be the one that I send this week.

Blessings outnumber

This past week my step-daughter has been visiting from Orlando, FL with her boyfriend so I have been busy doing some cleaning and spending time with her so that I haven't had a chance to make cards this week.  My husband has been more active than normal and it is starting to take a toll on him.  We don't get a chance to see her often so it has been nice to catch up.  I did manage to sneak in this quick card.

Spots and boys

Sassy Cheryl has a challenge of spots and dots and Cupcake Craft has Boys and their toys so I thought I would combine it with this cute image from Sassy Cheryl with Noah in the tub.  I added crystal lacquer to the bubbles to give it the water look.  It reminds me of way back when my son would take baths, except for we would have more water on the floor.  My other card is for Papercraft challenge which is frogs.
