You make my heart blossom

There are so many wonderful Valentine images out there, but just like Christmas cards I get tired of all the traditional colors and styles.  So I found this image which being a nurse I thought was wonderful, and typed up my own computer sentiment.  I then went with a red, green and yellow color theme and more so with flowers and butterflies using the heart as a vase.

Baby it's COLD outside

Well it's true!!! Today we have a high of -3 with some windchills that are horrible.  And tomorrow will be worse.  So it's dangerously cold.  We got another 8 inches of snow yesterday.  Today it's a new release day at Catch the Bug and I have this image of Winter Birdhouse and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I layered the snowflake and added Stickles.

I love us

I know that I said that I was having my daughter over this weekend, so I made two cards for her to give to her boyfriend for Valentine's Day. She has Gus, but this was the closest image that I could find with a little dog. The sentiment is from TLC, Create.  I was in a hurry because I wasn't sure if I was going to see her before the holiday that when I grabbed my paper for copying I realized that it was not the one that I usually use....so it smeared and didn't absorb like the Copic paper, argh.  I didn't have time to re-color.

Violet Water Can to brighten your day

Today at Catch the Bug starts a new Saturday Challenge which is a color challenge. For my card, I used the image, Flower Water Cans - Violet along with a cherry sentiment from TLC, Create.  I added some Stickles to my flowers and the heart. Also the purple paper behind the butterfly circle has sparkles in it.  Anything that sparkles can just add some extra "happy".  With all the snow and cold that we have had this is a great card to cheer up that spring will eventually come...well maybe here in Wisconsin in June.  At least all the snow fills in the potholes in our roads, lol.

Today at Catch the Bug is Friday Freebie and the image is this cutie, Winter Eggbert and I also used this funny sentiment from TLC, Create.  We have had snow ( got another 7 inches) and now frigid temps so this is a perfect card for this week.  Grab this wonderful image before he melts away after the week is up, hehehe.  OK, the cold has gotten to me. Well today at Catch the Bug is Humor Me Wednesday at it is officially "Pie Day" so I used the image Gertrude eat more pie.  I don't know since I had my sinus surgery, I can't smell things and so things aren't tasting just right so maybe I am doing cards because I am craving food that would taste wonderful. Since I also did a cherry pie for the Stella Says Sketch and a spaghetti card yesterday for Paper Shelter.  Gertrude here looks like she is ready to hurl these cherry church pies to fatten you up, lol. So when we have it so cold here in the Midwest enjoy a piece of warm pie!!! hehehe

Winter Bird Polaroids

Today at Catch the Bug is a New Release of Winter Bird 2 and for this card I used a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I added bling to my snowflakes and the corner of my card.  The pom on the hat has some sparkle. Today we are predicted to get another 5 inches of snow, argh. I don't mind snow, but don't like when it dumps it all at once on us. Also don't want any freezing rain first. So stay warm and safe for my friends in the blizzard areas and cool for my friends on the other side of the world that are having a heat wave.  Funny weather.

Here is a fun card that I made using a digital stamp from Paper Shelter, called Trattoria Chef and the sentiment is from TLC, Create.  For this card, I pulled out some old fibers that I had stashed away that I thought looked like noodles. I punched out a fork and made an embellishment.

Thanks for coming to my Rescue

When I had my sinus surgery on Monday, my parents got up at 2 am so that they could drive to get me to the hospital for my procedure for 6 am. On the way, my Dad, actually asked me in case I would have to stay in the hospital overnight and they would stay at my house...what would he need to do to take care of my cats...that was enough to put me into shock. However, when I asked him what the surgeon said after I woke up he told me that Dr. Anderson said to get rid of my cats because they were the cause of all my sinus problems. I had a friend tell me that I should have had my Dad clean the kitty litter since I am not suppose to bend or lift for the week, but I didn't think to have him do it. 🤣I am so thankful to have my parents that were willing to come drive me and stay in case I needed. This is the card I made for them.
The image is from Bugaboo, Mini set flower block silhouettes and the sentiment is from TLC, Create.  I inked all the edges of the papers with Memento ink.  The embossed image I sprayed with Glimmer Mist that was a light pink in color.  I used Distress Oxide Inks and blended them over the stamp. Then I mist water over the image and heat it to set the color.
