all is calm

TLC had this wonderful angel as one of the clubs a couple of years ago and also this great sentiment.  I went with a mono blue card being a non-traditional color, but matching the angel.  There is just something calming about angels at this time of year so that is why I chose that sentiment.

Adding a little twist

My favorite Christmas cookie is the gingerbread.  And I just love this image that is from a large set at Imagine That!  The sentiment comes from TLC.  I used a pre-colored image, but added liquid applique to the hat.  I had to use a peppermint die cut and embossing folder to make it complete.

Chocolate chip note card holder

This was posted at Imagine That, but I forgot to post it on my site.  It is using the wonderful Jars of Cheer set from Imagine That.  I made a note card holder to give as a gift for Christmas.  I got the directions form Splitcoast Stampers.

Baby it's cold outside

For the past two days it has been cold, but it is actually suppose to be in the 30's today.  It is still that time of year when we have to bundle up, and it takes longer to get ready.  For my card, I used a cute penguin from Imagine That along with a sentiment from TLC.

Happy Retirement

A friend of my husband's is going to be retiring with the end of this semester at the college where they worked together.  They also did musicals until 2008.  I can understand that Patrick who has now taken a job in administration wants to spend time with his family and Grandson.  He has been so dedicated and I know that the college will miss him.  I made this card for him and the sentiment on the inside is from TLC.

My house is not messy

I just love this sentiment which is from TLC.  My house is a horrible mess right now.  I have been going through my husband's stuff since he passed away in February and having been putting things in boxes.  I have people who say that they want to come look at stuff before I just donate it, but then they don't come over like they say.  So my family room is full of rubbermaid bins with clothes and other stuff.  My living room is still cluttered since I rearranged the house to put a hospital bed in the family room and I want to replace the carpeting before I move everything back.  I'm just getting frustrated with the mess.  And sometimes when you clean, you make a bigger mess before you make progress so that is where I feel I'm at.

Joy to the World

This month at Imagine That there is adorable image of the month.  I used the pre-colored version and added some snowball bling.  Also, this month you can make a card using ANY image and win $10 coupon to the store.  So there are two challenges going for the month of December!  For my card I used a sentiment from a great set at TLC.    For this card I made a tri-shutter card which was a lot of fun.  It was a little extra cutting, but really simple.  The instructions are on Splitcoast Stampers.  I just couldn't help adding some bling and embellishments.
