Hen with apple pie

Now that fall days are coming, who doesn't love a slice of warm, fresh apple pie?  That's what this hen that Miss Rach drew has cooked up.  She is the newest image that is available on her ETSY shop for a great price of $1.  The apples tag is from TLC.  I was able to use my new die cut from My Favorite Things the stitched Oval to give it a country look.  Make sure to check out the blog today for the start of the first challenge and this would be a great image to use, hint!

Snowman with a cat Dear Winter

Today we are to have a drop in our temp to be a high of 62.  It will feel like a fall day.  We have had it hot and humid for quite awhile so it may actually feel like winter.  For my card, I used an image from Pink Gems and the sentiment is from TLC.  I added some bling to the snowflakes in the image.
My Dad, Uncle and a family friend are driving 3 days a week about 200 miles round trip each day to help me with some home repairs.  My Dad celebrated his 70th birthday on Wednesday while they were here working so I made a lunch and had a birthday cake for him for their afternoon snack.  This am it was raining so I had prepared chicken noodle soup, cheese garlic bread, Asian salad and  cantelope.  While I was getting everything all set the guys came in the house - my Dad from the patio and the other through the garage.  While they were eating, my Dad said you have a cat at your front Dad and sure enough he left the patio door open and all three of my cats went outside (which they never do). My male Siamese cat looked like the cat in this image peeking into the front door.  I was upset for his carelessness and my Dad does not feel I should have THREE cats, so we had a disagreement.  My parents have never had indoor pets and don't see the need. Then I am trying to sell a vehicle and the battery died so I had to get that replaced today so it has been a frustrating day....hope Friday will be better.

New Challenge to start and Design Team

For this card, I used a wonderful image called Christmas Owl.  I used a sentiment from TLC, which will be coming out as a five piece Christmas owl sentiment set and I will share the link when it is available.  I made this into a shaker card which has snowflakes like the one by the sentiment and glitter inside the shaker.  I put the owl on a branch.

Now that should have gotten your attention, I know I always love a sale. Miss Rach is having all of her Dog Show Collection digis for $1 which is such a steal for digital images.  There are 13 in the collection to choose from.  I know that many times I pay at least $3-4 per image.  These critters are just precious and so cute.  You could get the WHOLE set for $13 whereas it would normally cost $39 - 52 for such wonderful pups.

For my card I used the Boston pup and a sentiment from TLC which gives you six great dog sayings.  The paper is from Imagine That which gives you 12 designs in the pack.  I kept the card simple.

Let it snow

We are having it hot and humid with the weather being like this....I actually say "Let it snow".  I just love this laughing snowman/snowgirl from Mo's.  For this card I actually used a sentiment from Verve - I know - it's amazing that it isn't from TLC (who I'm a DT member for), and I actually used INK.  I have so many layers on this card front it is rather thick and heavy.  Since it is Friday, here in the US we will be celebrating Labor Day on Monday so hope everyone stays COOL and has a wonderful long weekend!
