Baltimore train

I have been trying to use some of my stamps (which I have a lot of) and some ink.  My best friend had her birthday last week, and I plan to give her a pack of cards since she loves that as a gift.  Her husband worked for the railroad, so I thought a train card would be a good one.  I found a stamp set from Cornish Heritage Farms and put it to use.  I embossed a background and found some buttons.

Sweet as sugar cute as pie

Today I card using a pre-colored image from Imagine That Gertie Goose Fall and a sentiment from TLC.  I made a very simple gate card.  We actually had dinner last night at a local restaurant that makes their own pies and I was seriously thinking about taking one home, but decided I would be good and pass on it even though they looked sooooo yummy.

Joy to the World

I was wanting to make a card for the Merry Monday challenge with holly, but I didn't get it done in time.  I had to go to a birthday party for my Dad who turned 70 earlier in the week.  It was a wonderful time with many of my relatives....and card making came second.  That's OK, because there are plenty of other challenges I can use this for.  I found this wonderful holly that I had as a freebie from Miss Rach (she has weekly freebies - and had several this past week).  I used my new Spellbinder die cut, which I just got.  I embossed the sentiment, which is an actual stamp and not a digi.

When I saw the challenge at The Glory of Christmas for no stamp or digi....I thought it REALLY is a challenge, but I can do this.  I have a lot of wonderful die cuts and embossing folders so I can make this happen.  This is what I came up.

Thought you could use a pig me up!

I don't know about you, but I'm glad this week is about over!  I've had car troubles, house repair problems that they found my concern was bigger than we planned, I didn't get get the job that i was waiting to hear on, my Dad and I got into an argument about my critters and he accidentally (so I think) let all three of them outside; however, it could always be worse.  The wonderful man that I seeing was golfing with three other guys the other weekend and it was raining in the am and they were on a coarse that was hilly.  On the 18th hole, he was in a cart with one other guy, Mark who was driving and there was a sign that said "Steep Hill".  He realized that there cart was going too fast and he hit the brakes which were wet, they locked, the cart turned/flipped over sideways on Mark's side and they rolled the cart.  Mark broke his neck in 3 places and is paralyzed from the waist down.  My  boyfriend is fine except for feeling horrible about his friend.  They were only drinking gatorade and were not goofing around it was a total freak accident and we just pray that he may regain some feeling or ability to walk again.
With that being said, my last card for today is using a wonderful image from Miss Rach which is available on her ETSY site for $1.  Miss Rach is having a Challenge on her blog with the theme being Apple Harvest. For this you are able to win an image from the ETSY shop, see HERE for rules of the challenge.  It is simple and fun.  She has several FREEBIES available today on her site that would qualify for the challenge a horse and a goat both with apples.
