Today starts a new challenge with Stella Says Sketch and for my card I used one of the images from the Christmas Trio Block.  I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts. I am posting this card with the disclaimer that I am NOT trying to encourage any snow locally, lol.

Well we are cruising right along as today is Day 4 of the 9th Annual Christmas in July at Catch the Bug.  Today is a BINGO challenge along with the movie theme of ELF. So for my card, I have the image of  Elf Brat and Rudolph and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I put a die cut of New York city behind the image and made some snowdrifts for the roof.  I used Stickles for the snow.  I put Tim Holtz bell brads on the hat and shoes of the elf.

Let it snow

Welcome to my new follower Cheryl.
The temperatures around here have been so weird. On New Years we got 2 inches of snow (it looked like more, but it wasn't that much).  The on Monday January 7th it was 50 degrees and raining so the snow is gone, Tuesday it was 36 and Wednesday it was 20 windy so it felt like 10 and now we will start to warm up again and be around 40 for weekend.  This is crazy! Then it's no wonder that on Monday that I am having sinus surgery because our bodies can't adjust this fast, lol.
For my card, I used an image from QKR called Bundled Up and the sentiment is from a stamp set from Hero Arts. I added some snow with Stickles and a Spellbinder mitten.

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug Saturday Challenge which is a BINGO.  For my card, I used the image, BUGSF01 Snowman Family, and the sentiment is from TLC, Create.  I dry embossed the snowflake background. I put Stickles on the snow on the ground and Sakura jelly glitter pen on teh snowflakes in the sky.  I have some Christmas twine and pearls on the card too.

I don't know if anyone was having frustration with the changes that Blogger made and feeling that more should have been done to explain how to navigate the updates.  I felt lucky that my daughter was here today, and she helped me to navigate when I was struggling and ready to pull my hair out.  She had never worked on my blog before so it was hard to explain, but she was able to find the items for me, ARGH!!!
Well, that aside, Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends in the United States.  And to those elsewhere, I am still thankful for all my friends and loving support and kind words.  I look to this community for relaxation and to relieve stress and it is wonderful to meet wonderful people along the way.
For my card, I sprayed Glimmer Mist on the paper and after it dried I heat embossed the sentiment.  I dry embossed the snowflake background on white paper.  This is the color combo this week at JUGS which I found to be a lot of fun.
