Echo

I made a wall hanging for my boyfriend's daughter who has a birthday coming up.  She has a husky puppy who I took some pictures of recently.  For this project, I was out of my comfort zone since I usually make cards.  I matted the picture like I usually do with cardstock.  I found a Plaid sticker stencil to put "ECHO" (the pup's name) in the corner and then sprayed the canvas with Ranger Meadow spray and peeled off the stencil.  I bought a dog collar and put a charm on it and put it on with glue dots. The charm has a rhinestone which makes it sparkle.  Then attached a Offray ribbon on the top.  I don't think I would pass as being a Tim Holtz, but I had fun.  I did show her a picture, and she said she has a perfect place to hang it.

Autumn the season of color

The reason that I find Autumn to be my favorite season is that it is about color.  For my card, I used a freebie image from Miss Rach and a sentiment from TLC.  There are a few more days to get a card in for Miss Rach's challenge for Autumn Leaves.  She has freebies on her site that you can use since you must use one of her images to qualify for a prize.

You sweep me off my feet

At Imagine That a great new set came out last week called Leesa's cleaning day and it has several smaller sets.  My card today is from the set Sweep This.  I also used some paper from the set Sending You Love.  Now, I am in the middle of cleaning my house and it is a BIG undertaking.  The other thing is that the man I am dating is a custodian.  He feels he can't help me because the cleaning would have to be done HIS way and I am the type of person if it's my house then do it MY way.  So....I'm on my own.  However, there is Sweetest Day coming up on October 17th, and it does get him all happy that I am cleaning (he is weird).  He will get the humor of this card and I thought it would be perfect for that occasion.

Snowflake Merry Christmas

If you are looking for my Miss Rach Challenge cards look at the next three cards down.....thanks.

This card I made for the Verve week 4 Sketch Challenge.  I am trying to clean my house and especially my craft area.  My family is telling me that I should just "throw away my stuff because I have too much."  They don't understand all the dies and supplies we NEED, and then yes there is the cute and want.  I try to part with it, but then I find a place or container to squeeze it into.  The worst part.....I stopped at Michaels and bought this snowflake clip which I thought was so cute so I had to use it immediately so I wouldn't feel so guilty.  For this card, I used Tim Holtz snowflake embossing powder which has some glitter in it.  I stitched the sides so it made a pocket so I can put a gift card in it.  I added some pastels to look like gummy worms for my color choice.

Autumn goat with leaf

Here is one last card that I made for the Miss Rach Autumn Leaf Challenge that begins today.  I used an image that was a past freebie.  Look for the new freebie that will be available today.  For my card the sentiment is from TLC.  I found the punch that I got last year, but have been waiting all year to use with the fall leaf border.  These leaves are like the crunchy ones that landed on my car while I parked outside today.

Housework gives me arachnophobia!

As I said in my previous post about cleaning, I live in a wooded lot so.....I have a few spiders and bugs.  My Dad is complaining that is why I have so many woodpecker holes in my cedar siding is because there are so many bugs and little critters such as moths, caterpillars and the like outside that the birds want to munch on.  So with that being said, I have to take care of those critters on the inside too.  It's always fun when we get a bug or moth inside since with three cats they love to chase it.
For my card, I used a can of spray Krylon webbing that I had from years ago to create the background.  I put a piece of webbing ribbon around the middle.  Those gorgeous spiders I've had for years, but I don't know who the manufacturer is since I didn't save the label of the stickers. The image is from a wonderful new set at Imagine That called Dust if you Must.  It's a fun, 3D card!

Congratulations....you really mopped up!

Imagine That! came out with a new set Leesa's Cleaning Day and this is a sub-set Mopped Up.  Personally I have been doing a lot of cleaning and house projects lately.  So I feel this set is perfect for my life right now.  My husband was sick with his cancer for several years so our home was ignored, and he has since passed away so I have his belongings to clean out.  My family, especially my Dad and Uncle have been a BIG help.  They are converting my screen porch into a 3-season porch, staining my cedar siding which was full of wood-pecker holes since I live in a wooded lot, and then they found my roof needed repair in two different areas and my rain gutters needed to be re-routed.  I don't know if we will get to the landscaping that we had originally planned to do or if that will wait for spring.  They also replaced a door in my garage.  Luckily, I sold my husband's van so I have some money to pay for this work since it is ending up to be more than expected.

Pumpkin spice and everything nice

I can't believe it's already fall.  I had my image colored and finally got it put together.  I noticed today when I was running an errand that pumpkins are out and I almost bought one, but I just thought I had to wait a few more days.  For my card, I used the stamp of the month From the Heart called Pumpkin Patch Girl.  The sentiment is from TLC.

They're creepy and kooky

Paulette at TLC for her September club offered to personalize this for each member.  She is now offering to customize it for anyone for $1.25.  I did this for my kids; however, I think some of the wording is for my -ex, hehe.  For my card, I inked the outside with Memento ink and framed it in Cardstock.  I put a die cut on the side along with some flowers and a glittery spider.

Death by chocolate

Paulette at TLC has monthly clubs in which you get emails with sentiments, images and papers.  This is one of the images that I received and then I colored it with my Copics.  I embellished it with a chipboard heart and added a flower and twine.  After next month....I think we all feel that way if we have any snack size candy bars in the house.
