It's all about the candy!

My daughter and her boyfriend came for the weekend and it was great to spend time with them.  We went to Target and I picked up some treats to send with my daughter for her to give to her students.  I had some gift cards from Target that I put in a Halloween card for my daughter, but I had to make a card for my son.  So this is the one that I sent for him.  I just love this image from Mo Manning called It's all about the candy.  I cut a circle out of a 5 X 7 card and then I embossed that cut out circle with stars.  I first inked some yellow on the stars and then inked grey over the top.

Candy corn counts as a vegetable

My daughter loves candy corn, but it is pure sugar and not something I find tasty.  It looks cute though.  I used a freebie image and paper from Scribbles to make my card.  The sentiment is from TLC, Create.

I have a friend who is planning to adopt a new Siamese kitten in November and she has other cats so this is the card that I made for her.  It is using a stamp from Doctor Digi House of Stamps called Katy the cat lady and I also used the Paw Prints Background paper.  The sentiment is one that Paulette from TLC made for me and put in her last club to go with this image.  I put glossy accent on the glasses, and a pearl for the earring.

It's the cat's house really. We just pay the mortgage!

When I married my second husband he came with four cats.  I had never had inside pets before so it was quite an adjustment for me.  The one that befriended me first was the Siamese - Kimmy and she was patient with me to explain how cats rule the house.  She is the reason that we only have Siamese cats now.
For my card, I used the image, sentiment and paper from Doctor Digi House of Stamps.

Happy Birthday from the cat

Well last night I had a little mishap and I fell down a couple of my stairs.  It's so embarrassing, and I feel like such an idiot, but the point of the story is that my cat was there to comfort me when my foot was in throbbing pain and I was crying.  My oldest cat which is my male, Casio was licking my tears.  My boyfriend works nights and I text him and he did offer to come be with me and I didn't want him to leave work because there wasn't anything he could do for me, and like I said Casio had it under control and was doing all he could to comfort me and help me with the pain.  Now one of my girls, Jasmine likes to sleep on my feet, and she couldn't understand why I get kicking her off last night.  My third Siamese cat is Snookie and well she just didn't care.  I have bought them soft and fuzzy beds; however, they like to sleep in hard plastic hospital wash basins so they are lined up on the bottom of my bed when I go to work.

A meow-tain of fun on your purr-fect day!

Here is the card that I made for my Dad this year for his birthday since he is ALWAYS giving me grief about my three Siamese cats.  He thinks that I don't have enough time for my furballs, but he doesn't understand that when I am home I enjoy having them and need them when I go to sleep.  He told me to get a pillow, but he doesn't understand the purr of the cat when you are relaxing to sleep.  I don't care - I have no intention to get rid of my cats or should I say they still allow me to live with them.  When he gives me grief, I just say that my boyfriend is going to move in with me and that he has two Siamese also so we will have five and then he usually shuts up because I think he knows someday that could happen, hehe.

Cancer messed with the wrong GIRL!

My Mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer seven years ago and she remains cancer free.  My Grandmother was also diagnosed with Breast Cancer so this is something that is very important to me.  For many years, I worked as an Oncology Research Nurse so I have worked with many women over the years and the pink theme is something that I am quite aware of and support.  My image is from Imagine That Digistamp and is BCA Full Support and the papers are Awareness Ribbons Pink.  I added some stickles to the breast cancer loop in the sentiment as well as in the bra loop.
