Did someone say Chocolate Bunnies?

When we would go shopping the one thing that my husband would love to do is to spoil the kids by stopping at Lindt or Godiva and picking up a GOOD piece of chocolate.  So every now and then I would stop and get him a treat.  Now I buy the regulars such as M & Ms and jelly beans, but I still like to pick up a Lindt chocolate too in honor of my husband.  The kids love it.  I made this son for my step-son and I edge the oval in ink and the wonderful sentiment from TLC just to add a chocolate look.  The image is from Miss Kate Cuttables.

Spring is sure to follow

It has been a bad week in which I had to pull out the winter coat, we had snow again and it isn't suppose to warm up for a few more days.  The sun is out, but it is deceptive.  After all the snow we had a little spring would be nice.  I can hear the birds chirping so there is hope.  For this card I used the stamp of the month From the Heart.  The green background paper is from TLC

Out of sight, but never out of mind

Unfortunately being a hospice nurse I need sympathy cards to send out to families I get close to.  Yesterday on April 10th at TLC, Paulette had the perfect freebie for the day.  I also used the TLC Basic Spring Dots Paper 3.  I wanted this to be more masculine so that is why I put just one flower with the two buttons on it and chose the papers that I did.

Life in full bloom

I went and picked up my taxes that I had done by my husband's attorney just like we always did, but since I didn't work as much last year to off set my husband not having taxes taken off of his pension, it hit hard now.  Sooooooo, I needed something to brighten my day. Imagine That has a wonderful progressive challenge and I just haven't had a chance to color so I used the already colored version.  They have planters like this at Micahel's and I look at them and laugh because I think they are just so adorable, I just don't have a place to put it.  Since my cats attack any live plants, and I just don't have room for any more decorations.  So this card is a great fix since I get to use this wonderful planter.  The sentiment is from TLC.

Money tree

Now, I know a lot of you have -ex husbands, but I have not been able to get along with mine after MANY attempts so I have given up.  He left me because he had an affair so I moved on.  I made a wonderful friend out of the experience by becoming best friends with her -ex and then we had a relationship and that was my husband.  Then our -exes become upset and said we couldn't be together and act as if we cheated on them.  Unfortunately, my husband never made up with his -ex before he died so she was surprised that there were no photographs of her at my husband's funeral.  Now, my 21 year old daughter had some dental work done on winter break and she is now for the last four years on her Dad's insurance whereas, the previous 10 years was on mine.  My -ex called me on Saturday and my daughter was with me, both of us are grieving my husband's death, needless to say, I've also had a few funeral expenses and Amanda's Dad is insisting that I pay the $77 that is owed on her dental work because he now pays her health premium and deductible.  I didn't work much last year because I took care of my husband, I went back to work in October because of a great job opportunity.  My -ex is an Administrator at a hospital so he doesn't lack funds.  It just threw me over the top and I said some things that I haven't said in a few years since the divorce.  I also now made him a card thanking him for leaving since it will be 14 years this next week using an image from Doodle Pantry.  I hate to complain about my life because I feel blessed in so many ways, but this help me vent my frustration toward a man that drives me nuts and that I am glad I am no longer with.  I feel wealthy because I have my children, and my daughter only visits him out of obligation.  This is when I truly miss my husband because he was a great Dad to my kids.
