If things get rough

I had this image for Mo's Challenge for the yellow, but just didn't get it done in time so thought I would save it for the Fantasy Challenge.  The sentiment is from TLC.  Love the drama, but this is actually how I feel these days.  I keep looking for backup, but it is hard to find.  I was in such a hurry I put my patterned paper on the wrong side, oops.  Since her hand is coming off on the left I do think it looks better on that side - that is my justification, and I'm sticking to that, hehe.

Gauze ghosts

Here is a decoration that I made for Halloween that was super simple to do.  It involved using a Ball glass jar and wrapping it with gauze.  I then spray painted it with Glow paint so it will "glow in the dark" and added some movable eyes.

be thankful you're not a turkey

Well, I have to say that this past week was a rough one for me.  I am in orientation at a new job so that is stressful and overwhelming.  My husband continues to get weaker and fell on two days before I left for work.  My son was here one day to help get him up the other day I was alone and we had difficulty so I was very late getting to work.  He is in more pain and suffered some bruises.  We had to get more adaptive equipment.  I worry about him being home alone while I'm at work.  On Friday, my son got the flu and was running a temp of 101.3 and I was concerned about him being around my husband.  My daughter and her boyfriend also came home for the weekend so there was just chaos.  All I can say is "Be thankful you're not a turkey."

Hugs for you

I needed a gift and Paulette at TLC gave the perfect suggestions.  She had the perfect free sentiment which I colored and framed and added to a canning jar.  I then added a ribbon to the rim of the lid along with some buttons.  I cut a circle from fabric with the Grand Circle to place on the lid.  On the inside I put some kisses.

Mo Manning just had this image for a special this past week and I grabbed it because my step-daughter loves owls.  The sentiment is from TLC which is from a 5-piece set.  My husband had a conversation with her the other day and I thought this would be a great follow-up card.  I threaded Divine Twine through the eyelet circle and put some Stickles on the snow.

You call me a Witch

I just love this sentiment on this Bugaboo image.  Because it's true....we tend to stereotype.  I know that I'm guilty of it too when you see someone for the first time.  I'm trying to be better about it.  The cat in this image is darling, and I've attached a picture of my cat dressed for Halloween.

Don't judge each day

Well you can feel the change in the weather.  The past few days we have had some rain so it has been damp.  Yesterday, it was cloudy and the wind had a crisp chill with the temp reaching a high of 51.  This next week we are only suppose to be in the 40's we some possibilities of a few light flakes of snow on either Sunday or Monday.  I'm just not quite ready for this.  I haven't been wearing a jacket yet and now the thought of wearing my winter coat is well....too much at once.  Not that we can change Mother Nature.
For my card, I used this months freebie "From the Heart" which I colored with my Copics.  I used a wonderful paper from TLC that Paulette had in one of the clubs (she has a wonderful Christmas club coming up soon).

Count your blessings

This image from Mo Manning is just so adorable of this vintage girl picking up sticks.  It reminds me when I was younger we would go in the woods in the late fall with my Dad to pick Princess Pine so that my Great Aunt would make us a Christmas wreath.  It was the time of the year that I would look forward to spending some special time with my Dad because he was a farmer and worked a lot.

Be like the moon

I haven't disappeared....I went back to work.  I hate to say it, but work is interfering with my crafting time.  So I'm sorry that I haven't had a chance to get out and see my friends in the blogging world.  I've been trying to get my husband up and ready before I go to work, pack him a lunch since he isn't able to walk to the kitchen, and get everything else done when I get home.  It's been exhausting, but we have been managing. My husband has had friends come spend time with him so he hasn't been alone everyday for the entire day which has made me feel more comfortable. The friend who helped sell his telescopes came to visit, so this is a card I made for my husband who wrote a thank you note to his friend.  The paper is very reflective and shiny so it is hard to show the shine/glow of that in the picture.  His friend, Sheldon, sent him an email to say he was impressed with card and the note.

Good enough to eat

For this card I colored my Wee Stamp image of "Rowan Fairy" and outlined her wings with Sakura glitter jelly roller pen which doesn't show up well in the photograph.  I put Glossy Accents on the cherries which makes them look nice and full in person.  The sentiment is from TLC.

Guy Thing

I have several Uncles that have birthdays coming up in November so I thought I better get started on some cards.
