FOLLOWER GIFT GIVE AWAY

With the holidays, I just feel so blessed.  I have been fortunate to have had my Father help me with some remodeling and it has forced me to do some cleaning and I have more to do.  I have realized that I have WAY to many craft supplies and I found that I even have duplicates.  It was my husband who talked me into starting my blog, and he has since passed away.  He was always amazed at how many views I would get on my cards and the wonderful comments.  He was accustomed to doing camera reviews and people would be critical and even nasty to each other.  I feel so fortunate to have met and even made friends with people in other states and countries by the common thread of card making.  So to those people who are my friends and those of you who are my followers, I would like to extend a gift that I would like to send out after the holidays and in the new year.  So if you are interested just please leave a comment below.  Please just make sure that you are a follower and I will choose a name on January 1, 2017.  You have until midnight of December 31, 2016 CST.  And again thanks for all your support and love, it is greatly appreciated.  I make cards to escape the stress of life so I enjoy the people that I meet and share that with.  I have a picture of just a few of the items, but I will be adding to the bundle through the month.
Happy Holidays!

I was able to squeeze in some time to play because my daughter wanted to work on some school work.  So I did this winter card.  I actually pulled out some stamps that I haven't used in ages and inked up. I also pulled out some embossing powder, punches, dies, pearls and washi tape.

Pawsing to wish you a Merry Christmas

I have this card that will be posted on the Thursday Inspiration at Imagine That Digistamp, but I wanted to post it today because my daughter will be coming and I wasn't sure if I will have time to get it all posted since she is a distraction for me, hehe.  This is using one of the new stamp sets called Dachshund Christmas and I colored it in non-Traditional Christmas colors.  I used a patterned paper from TLC.  I added a blue liquid applique on the sweater and a white on the hat and a glimmery pom on the hat.
I hope everyone survived the Christmas holiday and now will have a Happy and Safe New Year!

I'm not sure if I will get a chance to post another time before the holiday, if not I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!
For this card I am using the monthly image from Gerda Steiner and a sentiment from TLC. I made this an easel card which is one of my favorite layouts.

Over the hill

I don't know about you, but I'm there....hehe.  I was trying to replenish my stash, and I just loved this weeks sketch at Atlantic Hearts Sketch.  I found this stamp in my stash that I don't know if I ever used/inked, but I embossed it this time.  I also dry embossed the background.  Now I'm thinking I want to do another one in a masculine theme.

Santa Claus is coming to town

Well I didn't leave the country or fall off the face of the earth.  I had to get all my Christmas cards mailed and packages which I tend to mail out about 60 cards and then have the special ones for my close immediate family.  I had my last minute shopping to get done, and check my list twice.  My boyfriend is off until after the holidays and I have been spending time with him, but that takes away from my "me" crafting time.  The holidays turn people crazy and I dislike that.  I hope that people remember the reason for the season.  I agreed to help my boyfriend's daughter print some pictures that she was giving as a gift so we stopped at Best Buy to pick up some ink so I made sure I didn't run out in the middle of the process.  It was Tuesday evening and they had only one register open and the clerk was beyond rude.  I bought one movie and 3 inks and I asked for a bag and he pointed to the bags and I had to do it myself as he stood there and there was a line.  I was appalled besides the interaction I had about my credit card and Reward Card.  Then we went to PetSmart and there again there was only one register open, and the sales clerk was the opposite and as pleasant as she could be even with one of the dog toys we purchased didn't have a tag on it.  And I couldn't pass up a new home for my cats, hehe.
My son is on a work trip and left after Thanksgiving and I'm sure when he will be returning home, but he is in South Carolina.  I made this card for him since he is in the Army Reserves using an image and sentiment from TLC.  I embossed and distressed the sides of the card and made a gate fold card for him.  I put a pom on the hat of Santa.
Sorry this was such a long post today.  Just wishing everyone Christmas Spirit!

Holiday Cheer

I made this card yesterday, I just didn't get a chance to get it posted.  I have been so busy running errands since I know we are suppose to be hit with 7-9 inches of snow coming up as well as having our temps drop.  We have winter weather advisory going on which makes it difficult to get Christmas shopping and the such done when you are trying to make sure you have gas in the car and food in the house.
For this card this adorable image by Miss Rach that is Atlantic Puffin and the sentiment is from a digital set at Verve. I did the card in Non-Traditional Christmas colors which I enjoy doing.  I would grab this stamp from Miss Rach now while she has it on special.

Coffee candy cane warm Christmas wishes

Paulette at TLC has several new images that are perfect for this hop and this time of year.  I made two cards with these images and sentiments.  For this first one, I added some glossy accents to the coffee, and I added some ink around the sentiment.

No peeking

I finally pulled out my Newton's Nook stamps and inked them up.  I have 3 Siamese cats and I am trying to get them in for their routine visits with the vet yesterday and today.  I left the carrier out since I took the one girl, Snookie for a hair cut and today the two girls were to go.  I could only catch Jasmine and Snookie was too smart for me and hid.  Maybe I can get her tomorrow.  Casio my male cat loves to lie on top of my new couch so now he is leaving an indent on the cushion.

Jingle all the Way

When I saw this stamp....I just had to get it because I thought it was too funny a reindeer wiggling it's butt.  So it's my sick sense of humor, but it works for me.

Christmas a time to make magic

I wanted to try a little something different on my card so I many times use digital paper, but this time I printed just strips of the paper along with the sentiment on the white cardstock as my background.  I wanted a CAS card for my non-traditional colors.  It was fun and easy to do.  The snowman is freebie that I got from Melonheadz quite some time ago, and the sentiment is from TLC.
