I have a needle

Let me tell you.....I have been a nurse for twenty three years now, and I have never worn a hat and NEVER dressed like the nurse in this card.  Most nurses can hardly tolerate the doctors in the hospital so it is not that they want to seduce them.  However, I do know how to use a needle. hehe
The Kenny K Challenge is a White on White so that is why my card is using the nurse image with a hospital sentiment from TLC.  I embossed the background, used some lace, Prima flowers, pearls and die cuts to make this card.

Swinging by to say hi

Well it's Friday and later today, my step-son, Jim should arrive.  He is driving in from South Carolina.  He hasn't been here in WI since just after Christmas, and my husband's health has deteriorated since that time.  The doctor has put my husband back on steroids to try to help with pain as well as increase his weight because since November he was loosing about ten pounds per month (I wish I could do that!); however, now he was down to about 150 pounds and too weak to walk.  On Monday he was upto 162.6 pounds and he is doing much better walking with his walker.  He still has quite a bit of pain and we are working with the pain medication to try to find the right regimen.  It just is complicated when my step children see their Dad like this because they don't tend to handle it well since they are not around it much whereas my kids see it routinely.  So it tends to get a little stressful.  So that is why I work on my cards.......

Be a Mermaid

Well we could debate all day if there really are mermaids or not.  Mo has this gorgeous sea creature so I colored her with a green tail.  I added some sea shells to to the card along with some flowers.  I put glossy accents on the water.  The gorgeous sentiment is from TLC.

It's all about the love

Merry Monday has another wonderful sketch this week.  I used a sentiment from TLC and the tree paper is all from TLC.  The polka dot paper is from Bearly Mine.  The snowflake is a Sizzix die which is die cuts is my favorite type of embellishment to use and I added a brad to the center along with some Liquid Pearls to the the tips.  The outside strip I embossed with a tree bark folder from Cuttlebug.

Shopping for two

Later today I have my niece's baby shower to attend and I made a card for her using an image from Bugaboo.  Her Mother has already told us that she has picked up a stroller/car seat, baby monitor, crib, sheets and was going to be getting clothes from a friend.  So I thought ?what could she possibly have left on her baby list??? since she seems to be doing all the shopping for herself already.  So I thought this was a perfect card.
