Birthdays are like boogers

I have more cards done for the Catch the Bug Birthday Challenge, but just haven't had a chance to get on the computer to post them....so finally.  Being a nurse I just love this sentiment because it is so true!  The best humor is the true facts.  For this card, I added a little Liquid Applique to the candle and some Glossy Accents to the glasses for some texture.

Friends forever

Paulette at TLC has a wonderful new set that is coming out and here is a preview of one of the sentiments.  The vintage image is also from TLC and I put a digital paper over the top that looks like an old piece of paper.  When I showed the card to my husband he said it was "pretty, but busy".  Lately with him being so ill, I have been making more CAS cards because he would get nervous and panic when I was downstairs working on a project as well as he has required much more of my time.  Today, while he took a nap I was able to work on this easel card.

Cupcakes make your clothes shrink

I need some birthday cards, and it is perfect that Bugaboo is having a birthday celebration so I used this image along with a sentiment from TLC.  On Friday I was able to spend some time with a friend who will be having her birthday the first week in February.  She was showing me a dress in her bedroom and I happened to notice all the cards I have made for her over the past year displayed on her bookshelf.  That made me feel good since I know she appreciates them.
