Today it's Day 6 of the Catch the Bug Christmas in July celebration and the theme is to use an Old but Goodie image with the photo. For my center step card I used Stella Dear Santa Note.  I also put a banner with bling over the image and a charm in the corner. The patterned paper and two corners have poinsettias.

We're in this together

Today at Catch the Bug is Friday Freebie and we have Lady Bug Bunny.  I made this a center step card (which is great to use scraps of paper). The sentiment is from TLC, Create.  I thought it was a good card to support what is happening right now.  We feel alone, but we are all going through this new social isolation thing together.  The bunny is holding the lady bug out and the other lady bugs are keeping their distance which is just "how things are right now."  Feel like I have to walk around with a tape measure to maintain my 6 feet radius.  And with spring allergies don't DARE sneeze!!! There are plenty of jokes and funnies out there about this, but it's not funny the hoarding, financial concerns, lack of medical supplies and people that get Covid are getting VERY sick.  So stay safe and keep in contact via email, phone, Facebook, FaceTime, or how you can without getting together at this time.

Happy Birthday Doc

Today at Catch the Bug it's Friday Freebie and it's Kidlet Doctor.  For this I made my own sentiment. It happens that being a nurse I work with several doctors and one more than others so this will be a perfect card for the young doctor who really has a baby face, lol. I made this a center step card. I added some dies of a band-aid, stethoscope and push pin.  This works as a Halloween costume, get well as well as a doctor's day card. So grab the freebie this week.
Welcome to Hazel my new member who also lost her cat this past week. My little girl Snookie has not been wanting to eat since she is so lonely and upset. She is walking around the house crying, wanting to be pet and held which is not like her and would not play. So I tried to get her special foods to encourage her to eat. She ate an Arby's roast beef sandwich, a little rotisserie chicken and some baby food. I was getting desperate since she wouldn't eat her soft food and was falling over because she was getting dehydrated. So I think that we are slowly making some progress. I'm trying not to stay at work late so she doesn't have really long days home alone.

You're the marshmallows...

My husband and my kids would have hot chocolate together and there were times that they would be putting marshmallows in it.  He was so good at spoiling them.  When we were at the mall, we would get a coffee and he would always get them a hot chocolate.  So for my card today which is a new release at Catch the Bug is Hot Cocoa Bear and the sentiment is from TLC, Create.  I had a die cut with marshmallows that I had to add and some straws which were the perfect color.  Hope that can take time to enjoy a cup this season.

There is a new release today at Catch the Bug, and it is adorable. I had to color the flowers purple and put the little girl in peach.  I made this a Center step card, which is one of my favorite layouts. I put gold washi tape on the sides.
I'm sorry if I haven't been around to make comments...with working I feel like there aren't enough hours to craft, get online to post comments, clean my house, make meals and keep up with errands. I need to find an elf, fairy or hire someone to help me out, but I've only had one paycheck so that's not going to happen for sometime.  So please be have patience with me if I don't get to see everyone's beautiful creations in a timely manner like I used to do.

Somebody loves you

At Imagine That Digistamp Kris is offering that if you spend $10 in her shop this month she is giving this kit free.  So I had to get it now that I am no longer on the DT.  I colored the kitty to be Siamese like my two girls, naturally.  The sentiment is from TLC, Create.  I embossed some paper for the sides.  I made it as a center step card with the modification to be 6 inches X 11 inches and then cut the strip to 1.25 inches wide on the side instead of 1 inch.

Baby Boy Center Step card

I want to make some cards to give as gifts and so I want a "variety" pack with some baby, wedding, birthday, sympathy and holiday cards to give.  So I made this one for that.  I used a Bugaboo image and made a center step card.
I have to tell the truth...I have sewn my daughter's costumes for Halloween and then when she was about 14 I thought she was old enough and didn't need to go anymore and I didn't need to keep making costumes so I made her a pumpkin costume and said, "This is the last costume I am making you so if you keep going it better last you."  So then with my husband having cancer and so on and with her being on the dance team they had parties and she didn't tell me she just wore her pumpkin.  So her friends teased her that she was a pumpkin and these girls wore very mature outfits.  She didn't care she wasn't going to stress me out and it did because I felt bad for her, but she wouldn't let me buy or make her another outfit.  Now that she is 25, she STILL wears the pumpkin I made her as a teacher.  This year, she bought the Cinderella to go with her boyfriend, but she didn't think it was appropriate for school because it was low - cut and she doesn't show ANY cleavage as a teacher.  So I had to buy a pumpkin costume for her pup, Gus to match.  She finally sent me the picture of the two of them as they went to puppy class on Tuesday night.
