For this card I used the sketch that Just Rite had for this week's challenge. I used my Copics to color the image and then used Flower Soft on the evergreen. I did use a 3-D pop dot to the cardinal body to make him stand out. The branches are Kwik Kutz dies and I used a Nestabilities around the image. The paper is the Basic Grey Wassail. I have had such frustrations lately, because I have had difficulty loading my pictures. We did a system upgrade of my computer; however, things don't seem to be working right.

Pearls and orange
Tuesday September 28, 2010
Well I did it! About a month ago I stopped at my local scrapbook store to do some shopping and I just happen to know many of the sales associates who work there due to my frequent stops, when a customer asked for assistance with a Cuttlebug and the girls were not familiar with it, but were trying to help her. I offered to help since I use mine on a regular basis. The woman took notes and was very appreciative. The sales associates thanked me, and joked about it, but handed me an application to work at the store since there was an opening. I thought about it, and I could pick up hours as a nurse and make more money; however, this has an interest in a FUN job instead of worrying abut bodily functions which I have done for twenty years. I love nursing, but I wouldn't mind a day or two of something else. I worked at a Sam's Club when I was in college so this bar code and scanning is something new. I do like challenges.
I did a card following a sketch for the Pixie Dust Challenge using the Sugar Plum Fairy. My daughter did ballet for many years, and I always loved the Christmas show with the velvet and pearls so I incorporated that into my card. (I WON THE PIXIE DUST CHALLENGE!!!) I also plan to submit this for the Crazy for Challenges (C4C56) for the bling. I again made this into an easel card.
I also worked on a card for this weeks Challenge with Some Odd Girls which has a monochromatic theme and I used the Tiny Tia image and picked the color orange. I followed this weeks Mercy's Sketch for my card.

We all have days like this
Monday September 27, 2010
When I saw the sketch this week for Card Pattern Sketch I knew that I had just colored the perfect image the other day from Whimsy called Whimsy Cat and Fish. I know today my husband was frustrated in trying to deal with Tamron on a lens that he had sent in for repair so he thought. He was told by the technician that it is now perfect; however, his images show something else. Some days it does seem difficult to just stay afloat. Luckily my day went OK so I tried to be supportive. I'm hoping this card will be good for someone who needs a good laugh or a smile.

What a deal
Sunday September 26, 2010
My local scrapbook store had a garage sale which it does several times a year which I have never gone to in the past. This year I decided to see what there was and I found several stamp sets at a good price to The Little Paper Shop and Greeting Farms which I ran home with. I hurry made this card using the sketch of the Little Paper Shop and added my kwik kutz embossing apple folder and Martha Stewart punch to create this card.

Cards for Sheldon
Saturday September 25, 2010
Last week I won the Wild Flower Patch Stripe Challenge so I received the five new holiday digital images as the prize. They are adorable! This week's challenge involves a sketch. I also want to submit this card in the Stamping Baazar Challenge which is a holiday card to be sent for Operation Write Home. It is a great cause to sent the cards to our heros to have them be able to send cards back home to their family/friends. The difficulty is that there is no glitter which is understandable, but is hard when I wanted to add some sparkle to the star and wings. I used Basic Grey paper and American Craft Ribbon. The brads are Recollections, sentiment is Close to My Heart and the punch is Martha Stewart.
My husband's friend that he goes observing with in IL to look at deep sky images as had some bad things happen. He has had an exotic parrot die and then one of his devoted german shepards pass away a couple of weeks later. This has been very upsetting to his family and even my husband. I wanted to make some cards, but to keep it very simple.

Sweet Happy Fall
Friday September 24, 2010
Yesterday as I was driving some errand I noticed that some leaves are starting to turn colors which I just love. My first card is an image from All that Scraps using Autumn Trevor. I guess I am drawn to these images since my son's name is Trevor and they do remind me of him. This weeks challenge is to be the colors of pumpkin, burgundy, artichoke which just make the perfect fall combination.
I used the Monday Mojo sketch for this card along with K & Company paper. I was able to find some little leaves to use as my embellishments.
For my second card I used the Kenny K digital image of Troublemaker and stitched around the outside paper and the image since the challenge this week involves sewing/stitching. This card reminds me of my daughter since this is exactly how she took one of her senior pictures with the hood up on a pink sweatshirt...except there was no ice cream. She also has the attitude. For this card I used this weeks sfytt091810 Sketch. The paper is Basic Grey Olivia and Core-dinations glitter along with the Martha Stewart punch for the drip. The Sweet is a G-studio stamp and the additional stamp is a Verve. The flower is by Recollections and the button by JoAnn's Essentials.
Tonight I worked on another card for Karen's Doodle and her challenge was to add lace. I have several of her images, but they are of a fisherman and a hog motorcycle which were not fitting for lace. This her free image, but I thought the donkey was a better option especially when I could add in some clouds and pearls. I like the look of pearls and lace. Again I used Copics along with the Basic Grey Olivia paper. I made this card an easel one.

Knight in Shining Armor
Thursday September 23, 2010
I decided to do the Kraftin Kimmie Black and White Challenge and use Sir Galahad and incorporate silver/gray as the additional color. I used my Copics with the Spica and embossed with the Zing metallic Silver powder the sentiment. I used Mercy's Sketch for this and put my ribbon on the right instead of the left due to his sword.

I miss you
Wednesday September 22, 2010
Fall is my favorite season, and I love the changing of the colors so naturally I have enjoyed working with the Basic Grey Pryus paper and chose that again for my next card. My digital image is from Whimsy and is called "Love me anyway". I used the sketch from the Sweet Sunday Challenge 86 (SSSC86). I adapted it since I wasn't feeling round today and went with the rectangle shape instead. I also put the flower on the top instead of on the bottom. I also entered this card in the Pixie Dust Stuido Challenge for Fur or Feathers for this week.

So blessed
Tuesday September 21, 2010
My daughter was celebrating her birthday yesterday, and had a big dance fundraiser at school. Her brother went to show his support, and wrote her a beautiful note in her birthday card that was so sweet. As a 14 year old there are times he can be that way, but the poor boy was also running a temp of 102 which I realized when he was in bed at 8:30 after her performance without eating any supper. Hopefully this just last for today, and he will feel better tomorrow. (And then we will all pray the rest of us don't catch his bug!)
I did this card for Wild Flower Patch Challenge which is to have a card with stripes, and I followed the Crazy for Challenges Sketch Design C4C55.
I used the new Basic Grey paper which was perfect for a fall color scheme.

Weekend has finally arrived
Saturday September 18, 2010
It has been a busy week so I have had to work on projects in stages so I am glad to finally have something to post. For the I heart to stamp I wasn't able to complete this challenge before noon today, but I love this sketch. I will still be able to enter this card in the Bugaboo Challenge because of the stitching. I did a straight stitch around the card and some zig zags across the strips.
If you want to know the products used in these cards, please let me know.
Kenny K's Crafty Girlz has a challenge for embossing. I made this card for my daughter. This looks like her since she has her i-pod every morning when she is getting ready and every night before she goes to bed. I wrote her a note of how proud I am of her becoming a young lady. (Her birthday is on Monday and she will be 18!)

Toadily cool
Monday September 13, 2010
I think green is the color of today.
The other Sunday when my husband brought the Sunday paper into the house all of a sudden a frog jumped out. He must have been hiding in the rolled up paper in the mailbox soaking in the sun. We quickly caught him and relocated him back outside before our four curious cats decided to check him out. Then a few days later when I went to pick up the paper, again he was inside, but this time he hopped on my arm scaring me. This digital image form Some Odd Girl of Tobie and Buddy reminds me of how my husband looked taking the frog back outside (and our grass has lots of shade so we have some mushrooms at times also). I plan to enter this in the challenge for this week which is to have three images. These are the images that I won from last weeks sketch.
Markers: Copics
Die-namics: Grass, My Favorite Things
Patterned Paper: We Are Memory Keepers
Ribbon: Michael's
Punch: EK Success 1 1/2 ", Fiskars Scallop
Border Edge: Fiskars
I also did a card that I plan to submit for the Pixie Dust Studio Challenge which is "In between the Newsprint" challenge. It is to have a black and white plus one additional color. I thought that would be perfect with their digital stamp of Greta the Green. I had fun using every shade of my green Copic markers for this card.
Stamp: Season's Greetings, Hero Arts
Ink: Memento
Core-dinations black glitter
Nestibilities: Small petite Oval
Punch: 1 1/4" & 1 1/2" EK Success
Border Punch: EK Success
Flowers: Prima
Ribbon: Michaels
Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye Lush
Cardstock: Bazzil

Marvin
Saturday September 11, 2010
Here is the Monday Mojo Sketch this week
And here is my card for this sketch using the Stamping Bazaar image of Marvin. He is the cutest bat I have seen. Real bats I don't find quite so adorable. The tag is a cuttlebut tag that is torn on the bottom and inked, but the picture doesn't show that very clearly.
Markers: Copic
Ink: Memento, black tuxedo
Stamp: Inkadoo, BOO!
Ribbon: unknown, purple, gathered; Orange Amuse
Black glitter paper: Core-dinations
Cardstock: Bazzil
Patterned Paper: Echo Park Paper Company
Nestibilites: Circle Small

Odd Anniversary Card
Friday September 10, 2010
My husband has some friends who are into astronomy and the big debate, "Did a spaceship land on earth back in 1947 and the US government cover it up?". One couple is having a five year anniversary celebration so I thought this would be a perfect card for them.
Then the inside
Digital stamp: My favorite things, Robot 2
Markers: Copic
Paper: Bazzil Cardstock
Patterned paper: We Are Memories
Computer font: Transistor

Pearls and Swirls
Thursday September 9, 2010
I worked on a card for the Kenny K Krafty Girl's Challenge Pearls and Swirls.
For my card I used the digital image of Luscious Linda in the colors of hot pink and green. Another shocker to my son to see my "wild card".
Glitter Paper: Core-dinations
Patterned paper: The Paper Studio
Embossing Folder: Cuttle Bug
Brads: Recollections
Markers: Copics
Stamp: The Paper Company Studio, Dream Girl
Ink: Memento, Black tuxedo
Flowers: Prima
Nestabilities: Petite Oval Small
Black Pearls: Wrights
Another card that I did was the Crazy for Challenges C4C53 which is using reading and books.
For this card I used a Digital Image from Sassy Studio called Reading Rachel
Markers: Copics
Stamp: My Favorite Things
Ink: Memento, Black Tuxedo
Nestabilities: Label Nine
Patterned Paper: Quick Quotes
Border edger: Fiskars
Flowers: Prima
Buttons: JoAnn Essentials
Ribbon: Creative Imaginations, silk
Staple: EK Success
Then another card was one for my mother-in-law for Grandparent's Day. Even though she is a step-grandma, my kids adore her. She frequently sends presents for our already spoiled cats so I thought this would be a perfect card for her.
Digital Stamp: Tiddly Winks
Markers: Copic
Patterned Paper: DCWV Floral Mat Stack
Cardstock: Bazzil
Flowers: Prima
Button
Ribbon: Big Lots

Upcoming events
Wednesday September 8, 2010
I needed to get a few cards ready for the upcoming events. My daughter is a senior and is a "big" sister to another dancer on the Varsity Dance Team. For their first home football game performance on Friday they are having a team dinner and my daughter asked if I could help with a card for her "little" sister. This is what I came up with and she will write in the inside the words of encouragement for her teammate.
Then this weekend is Grandparents Day and since I need to get the card ready for mailing, this is what I came up with. I then decided to submit it in the Greeting Farms Rule of 3's Challenge.
Digital Stamp: Greeting Farm Timmy Penny Carousel
Markers: Copics
Stamp: "Wishing You the Best Day Ever", Verve
Ink: Memento, Tuxedo Black
Buttons: JoAnn Essentials
Ribbon: American Craft
Patterned Paper: My Minds Eye - Lush, The Paper Studio
Flowers: Prima
Border edger: Fiskars
My kids have a great relationship with my parents and have done many activities with them so this will be a perfect card...even though my kids are teens.

Never enough time
Monday September 6, 2010
Even with having the extra day off, there just doesn't seem to be enough time to get everything done. I did sneak in two cards tonight, but I'm going to be tired since I have to get up early tomorrow for work.
The first card is for Some Odd Girl's Challenge Sketch #6
This card incorporated the sketch.
Digital Stamp: Head in the clouds Kaylee, Some Odd Girl
Die-namic: cloud
Wired Ribbon
Button
thread
Blue chalk
Stampin' Up Real Red marker
Markers: Copics
Blue Glitter Paper Core-dinations
Patterned Paper K & Company
The next card is for the Wild Flower Patch Challenge 30 using a fall theme.

For my sister-in-law's birthday gift I planned to give her some cards that she could send so I am trying to make a variety pack for her. I don't mind adding buttons, brads, chipboard, ribbon and more and paying the additional postage; however, I'm not sure that she will feel the same way so I'm trying not to add too many embellishments which is hard to do.
For the generic baby card I used a yellow cardstock that was embossed the Cuttlebug dots background
Digital stamp: Lindsay stamping stuff: Baby Bingo Cards
Markers: Copics
Ribbon: Michael's
Martha Stewart: EK Success Bear
Pink Card:
Patterned paper: DCVW: Spring floral glitter mat
Ribbon: Dots & dashes Michel's
Baby pin: Making Memories
Prima flowers
Buttons
Cardstock: Bazzil Core-dinations
Die-cut: Papertrey
Stamp: Papertrey
Border edge: Fiskars
Embossing: Cuttlebugs Clocks
Clocks: Making Memories
Chalk: Colorbox, chestnut
Dad's Birthday Card
Digital Stamp: Digi Doodle Lantern
Stamps, "You are Amazing" Verve, "Dad" Studio G
Ink: Memento, dark cocoa
Patterned paper: Basic grey periphery & basic
Chalk: colorbox, chestnut
Paper edger: Fiskar
Nestabilities: Oval classic small
Brads: Karen Foster
Ribbon: Creative Imaginations silk
Crystal glaze
Button & thread
On the lantern I applied crystal glaze so that it would look like it was glaze, I tried to get a close up picture, but it wouldn't focus very well.
