50th Anniversary

My parents will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary and I wanted to make sure that I had the card ready.  I got this stamp from Eureka and thought it was just so appropriate.  My Mom had red flowers,but I liked this color combination better. Her bridesmaids wore turquoise.

Here is a pre-colored image from the Paper Shelter called That's Amore and the sentiment is from TLC, Create.  The background paper I made with Distress Oxide inks of Peeled Paint, Cracked Pistachio and Broken China that I put on watercolor paper.  Unity has a great video that is short on the Distress Oxide Smooshing which is so quick and fun.  Italy is a place that I would like to visit or go on vacation.

TLC Create Summer Fun Blog Hop

Paulette at TLC, Create has a wonderful freebie for you of this gorgeous vintage girl with flowers.  I distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz distress tool.  I made the background paper by putting Distress inks on my craft sheet and then spraying them with water and running my white paper through it to soak up the paper and then heat it with a heat gun, and repeat the process until I liked the finished product of colors.  Check the TLC site for the sentiment which is also in my second card.  I made that in a tri-shutter card.  You should have arrived here from Lisa D's blog if not, you might want to see the list below, and start from the beginning so that you don't miss out on any of the wonderful freebies.

Oh Deer Winter is here!

This is my last card for the Catch the Bug Christmas in July day 7 Recipe Challenge.  This is using the Friday Freebie image and adding some sparkle which is from the Sakura jelly glitter pen on the snowflakes and bell on the collar and the glitter red paper.  The sentiment is from TLC, Create.  The recipe is to do Black, White or kraft with a pop of another color which I added red.  I actually managed to complete the week.  It just took me longer than I wanted....my daughter and her boyfriend came today with their new pup which was a distraction.

Wild for You

I couldn't help myself....I had to invest in the new Distress Oxide Inks.  For this card, I did blending of the Fossilized Amber, Worn Lipstick, Fired Brick and then sprayed water on top, heat it, and then stamped an image from Sweet and Sassy.  For the background, I put the three inks on my craft sheet sprayed water on that and ran my watercolor paper through it and heat it and repeated the process it several times until I got the final color.  Then I sprayed water on the top and heated that.  I stamped the sentiment which is from My Favorite Things.  It was a lot of fun.

Well I have been trying to push myself to work on some projects so I keep up with making some Christmas cards and I thank you for all the wonderful comments on the loss of my furball.  My other cats are going through an adjustment as well. I like to do the Catch the Bug Christmas in July Week Challenge so I'm trying to get caught up with that.  Here is my first card, using Reindeer Blocks.  To add some sparkle and shine I outlined the snowflakes in Sakura jelly glitter pen.  The stars are in a shiny silver.  And the red paper has a sparkly shine.
