Anniversary hugs & blessings

Here is my card for this month using the image from Gerda Steiner called Hedgehog Smooches for the Monthly Challenge.  I made this a simple card and used a sentiment from TLC to make it an anniversary card.

It is such a gloomy day here today that it was fun to make a bright card.  I used this adorable stamp from Art Impressions Duck Stackers.  I think it just a smile without really trying.  Then I had to make a pile of flowers.

Sparkle and Shine

Here is a card that I made using a diamond die cut on some white glossy paper.  I then heat embossed the sentiments.  The light pink pieces of paper have butterflies so I also added some punched butterflies with a dot of Stickles for some sparkle.  I also added a little Stickles to the flowers for some extra sparkle.
I have a friend who got engaged so I thought this would be a good card for the couple.

Mermaid Happy Birthday

One last card for the Bugaboo Birthday Bash and down to the wire.  For this card I used a mermaid image and a die cut sentiment.  I put Glossy Accents on the water bubbles of the image.  It was a fun card.  Glad to have made all the cards for the week.

Here is a card that I made for the Thursday Inspiration at Imagine That Digistamp using one of the newest images called Selfie Sandy and I also used the paper from the Tea 'n Roses paper set.  I added a pearl for the earring and the shirt.  I just love this sentiment.  The ribbon is a denim bias tape.

a cause for a celebration

Here is the card I made for the day 1 Bugaboo Birthday Bash making a shaker card.  I have never made the design in the background before and I really don't like it.  I did put anti-cling on my acetate sheet, but I unfortunately put my sentiment from TLC on the bottom which is covered unless you do a lot of shaking.  My seahorses have lots of colors which are hidden by the shaker elements.  Lessons learned.  I love shakers, but I guess I will keep my old methods.

Chillin

Technically this is the time of year where we are to be chillin, but we are warming and having freezing rain and having unusual weather for WI for this time of year.  Skiers and snowmobiliers are complaining since we don't have good snow for their fun.  Hopefully soon Mother Nature will get this corrected so we won't be having snow blizzards in May.
For my card, I used an image from Bugaboo and a sentiment from TLC.  I outlined the snow areas with a Sakura jelly glitter pen, which didn't show well in this picture I'm sorry to say.

Wishing you a tub full of fun!

We have had such variations in weather the past few days.  It was warm Tuesday and 43 so we had rain which was bad since the ground was frozen so I had water leak into my basement and not to the area where I have a water pump, but where I had new flooring placed.  So we were shop vacuuming it up and now I have fans trying to dry out the flooring and where it got onto some carpet.  Then it cooled off so it was freezing so we had slippery roads and slick travel.  Even on Wednesday afternoon the temp fell quickly and it was 22 and their was some freezing rain and then a dusting of snow so the roads were so slippery.  I went just a few miles for an appointment and I can't tell you how many accidents that I saw and car pile ups.  I luckily made it home and stayed here the rest of the night.  I don't mind snow just not this freezing rain and slippery roads and the salt trucks are out and it's just a mess.
For my card, I used an image that Paulette posted on Saturday at TLC as a freebie and a sentiment from TLC.  I distressed my papers.  I tried to use bright yellows, reds and teal to be cheery to take away from the drab day.  I also distressed some ink on the sentiment.  This image just reminds me of my three naughty kittens which now are sleeping, but I found that Jazzy stole a pair of my socks earlier today and was playing with them.

New Year Resolutions

I didn't make a new list since I made a lengthy list last year, that I am still working on and still haven't given up hope on. Some of these items are need to occur in a certain order.  I have been doing thing to try to take care of myself.  One thing that I do is to get massages on a regular basis because I have issues with my joints since I have been diabetes for 37 years.  There is a challenge at Art Impression for New Year Resolution and I made a card using this stamp for my massage therapist.
My card resolution on this card is NO SENTIMENT - which is unheard of for me since I am on a DT for a Digi company that has daily sentiments.  So this was hard to leave all the sentiments for the inside of the card.

Steampunk Happy Birthday

Imagine That Digistamp has a new release today and this is one of the images, Steampunk Sam.  I used the pre-colored version and the the sentiment from the set.  The paper is from the Steampunk 2 paper set.  There is another Steampunk set available tomorrow and if you buy both there is a bundle available which is a great deal that includes the papers. I distressed the edges of my paper.  I also put Glossy Accents on the goggles on the top hat.  I put a metal Tim Holtz clock on the paper, metal brads that look like screws and Tim Holtz metal pieces on the horse. In addition, I added a blue feather behind the rider.
