Serene orchids

I found this image I had from Jeremiah Ketner "Orchids" and I just love the image. I have a distress oxide background that I made a while back so I don't even remember the colors that are involved. I love the deep in thought, serene look which is where I feel that I have been as I have been trying to go through my belongings and pack up my house as I am getting ready to move. Happy Anniversary

My friend Andrea came up with an awesome sketch and I made 3 cards using it. They were so fun and I just needed a variety of cards so it was perfect.
The first one I used the color scheme from JUGS for an anniversary card. I dry embossed the white paper with hearts and sprayed it with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I layered the colored papers us and added a ribbon on top of my border punch. I used my Spellbinder die cuts for the larger hearts and my Fiskars punches for the smaller hearts. Then the icing was to add a bling to each heart and the sentiment that I computer generated.

I demand a RECOUNT!

I needed a quick masculine birthday card for one of our administrators. I had the dotted paper sitting on top of my paper pile and already had Gus printed out so....I colored him up and put it together using the SSW2 layout. Then I hoped that I didn't offend him with the sentiment with the political times that we are in. He laughed when he received it.

Sweet Holiday Wishes

I haven't done much posting, because I have been cleaning my house which I really have neglected for quite some time. I always had an excuse, work, design teams and I just needed to get it done. Now that I have been working from home, it was driving me crazy to have my office be the only clean area. I found cards that I started and just never finished and here is one of them. I had this pre-colored image from Paper Shelter and had some liquid pearls on it. So I put it together with some papers I embossed and distressed and a left over piece of Christmas paper that I don't even know who the maker is and now this is how I feel after doing my cleaning, lol.

Today is the last day, day 7 of the Christmas in July at Catch the Bug and the theme is a Friday Freebie with a Color Challenge. You don't have the Friday Freebie.  For my card, I used a sentiment from TLC, Create.  This is emotional since this is my Design Team post. Due to all the demands with working full time as a nurse it has been difficult to meet the requirements of all that's required for the DTs.  I have met so many wonderful people and have gained such inspiration along the way.
And the inspiration for the design for my card, came from a card that Julie made back last August after she returned from having surgery and she was so excited to return. So it's just the opposite of what I am doing, but it was also a watermelon photo.
