Winter Wishes

In trying to keep up with my Christmas cards for the month here is number 2. And I guess that they were more Winter cards. I tried to follow a couple of themes which was to use a reindeer, house, trees, red/gold, no stamping, ribbon which just fits with my own goal of using some of my die cuts that have been collecting dust. I had fun creating this scene.

White Christmas? Santa should move South

Today starts a new challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches and for my card I used some wonderful stamps and dies from Creative Vision Stamps called Elf This.  I dry embossed the background with snowflakes and heat embossed the sentiments.  I also used a Cherry Lynn snowflake die for the center with an enamel dot.
I just got new tires for my vehicle so I'm ready for the snow....argh they cost so much!!!

Let it Snow on day 4

Well we are cruising right along as today is Day 4 of the 9th Annual Christmas in July at Catch the Bug.  Today is a BINGO challenge along with the movie theme of ELF. So for my card, I have the image of  Elf Brat and Rudolph and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I put a die cut of New York city behind the image and made some snowdrifts for the roof.  I used Stickles for the snow.  I put Tim Holtz bell brads on the hat and shoes of the elf.

Snow be it

Today at Catch the Bug New Release is Little Penguin Toque and I used a sentiment from TLC, Create. We got some beautiful snow on New Years and then this weird weather yesterday it was raining and 50 degrees, today will be 36, and then on Wednesday we will be back down to 20.  Then it's no wonder why we are having sinus issues and colds here.
For my card I dry embossed a snow design.  I added Sakura jelly glitter pen on the snowflakes on the image and then added some bling and sequins to have lots of sparkle.  The paper around the sentiment also is glittery.  Have a great day.

I made this card using an image and sentiment from TLC, Create.  I used my Distress Oxide inks and did the background.  Then added some Snowflake shavings to the trees and ground as well as the flowers.

Here is a card using a new image I just got with the sale they had at Little Miss Muffet called Polka dot pals - Issie and the sentiment is from the new club at TLC.  We are expected to get some snow tomorrow and my daughter who is a teacher made a comment about a snow day.

All that glitters is snow

Well here we are on day 4 of the Catch the Bug Holiday Chaos and the challenge is to use no patterned paper and have a clean and simple card.  I used the Bugaboo image Sign it chibi snowman and on the inside is a sentiment from TLC.  I embossed the background paper on a shimmer piece of paper, and added some glittery bling in the corner.  This is really simple for me, but it is fun.  I've included a picture from my kitchen window of the snow that was falling on Sunday morning.  Which we will be melting during this week, and then we are predicted to get hit again on Sunday.
