Totally Completely Amazingly Brilliant Son

Last Monday it was my son's 23rd birthday and I made him this Impossible Card and used a stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy.  The sentiment is from TLC, Create.  This was my first impossible card. My son is "very picky" because he has made cards with me when he was younger so he has high expectations and now wants something unique or something that I don't make for just anyone.  He liked the distress oxide ink so I was happy.  My daughter will appreciate anything and saves them all so does he, but he is vocal and criticizes me.

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug and it's a Photo Inspiration.  For my card, I used Violet Teacup and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I made it 3 D by coloring second copy of the flowers and cutting it out and putting it on pop dots on the original image. Violets just remind me of my Grandmother who would have had her birthday this month so she is just in my memories.

Mojo Sending you a little prayer

I needed to get a sympathy card made, and I thought that the Mojo sketch would work perfectly for this. I used a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I wanted to distress my papers with ink and with the Tim Holtz distress tool. So then I added some bling and a flower to added a little chic.

Egg Cited for Easter

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug and this week it's a BINGO challenge. Today is Friday Freebie at Catch the Bug and it's Dottie save the earth.  Who can pass up on chocolate? You really have to check out the samples by the design team and see how we think alike because Margreet and I used the same papers and Angela also used pink, but all three of used the same sketch, lol. It's too funny.  Margreet lives in the Netherlands so it's not like we even shared the papers hehe.

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug and being the first Saturday of the month it's an Anything Goes.  For my card, I used Rock Star Boy.  I used the Ranger Spray around the image to try to match the smudges on the patterned paper.  From the photo you can't see, but it has a wonderful light shimmer that goes well with the metallic stars and title. I gave this card to my nephew today who turned 9.

WORK

Today at Catch the Bug is Humor Me Wednesday and on the April 4th is Fun at Work Day so I used Stella Work.  We had a whole staff meeting where we had half of ALL of our entire staff attend 4 hours yesterday afternoon and the half will go this morning.  Our Medical Directors give us information on where our company is and what the plans/goals are for the year. Then they have several motivational speakers.  We are provided lunch and it's actually a nice time away from work except then there is a feeling that you didn't get all your work done. I work with a group of wonderful health care providers.
