Life is sunnier

We have had is hot and humid lately, but tonight we are to get some rain so tomorrow it is only to be 82.  So I am hoping to get a chance to cut the grass.  I made this card using the image from Tiddly Inks and I put Glossy Accents on the sunglasses and the arm floaters.  I used a wonderful sentiment from TLC that is part of a 10 piece set with wonderful thoughts.  I hope you are staying cool unless you are like my friends who are on the other side of the hemisphere.

Verve Merry Christmas

I am behind in doing my Verve cards since last week, I traveled 1800 miles total to go to South Dakota to Mount Rushmore and back.  It is a straight drive so it isn't bad....it is just long. Had a wonderful time.  Then came back and my daughter was here to help me celebrate my birthday.  My son came back from his 2 week Army Reserve duty and brought the family breakfast - he really has grown up!

Perfect pair

I made this card for my step-son and his partner who have been married for a year.  Both of them are always wearing funky socks so that is why I went with this image which is from TLC.  I used one image and then flipped the other to print next to it to combine two images.  The sentiment is from a wonderful set at TLC.  I found a great ribbon which has "Perfect Pair."  I used the colors from Color Throwdown and ColorQ from a couple of weeks ago.

On Sunday I was able to see the Brett Favre Legends flag football game in Madison, WI.  It was a wonderful experience and Clayton Anderson sang the National Anthem and at halftime.

TLC Don't be Late Blog Hop

Finally it's here the TLC Don't be late blog hop. You should have arrived from Lynne's site, if you haven't you might want to start at the beginning at Vicky's.   For my card I had a wonderful sentiment from Paulette and used a piece that she had from another Alice in Wonderland set previously.  I distressed my papers which are from Sweet Shoppe which are an Alice in Wonderland set.  The ribbon has stripes and the Mad Hatter paper has some stars on it.  Then  I made a card using the wonderful freebie from Paulette.  Make sure to thank her for the wonderful image.  Again I used the Alice in Wonderland papers for this. I like having a sense of humor and find that it is important to have.  Being a nurse and especially with all the things that I have dealt with, I think it is important to laugh.  The person I am in a relationship with now has even said that he enjoys having someone that he can laugh with.  That's why I like the Bugaboo stamps the sentiments can have some fun sarcasm.

all is calm, all is bright

I just love this image from Bugaboo with the birds looking miserable on the branch since that is how I feel it is during winter here.  We all complain about it, then we all have to wear our winter gear, and if someone finds something new or exciting in that department everyone is "Where did you get that?"  so by the next day everyone has the same thing so we all match.  That is why I did my birds in the same color scheme.
The sentiment is from TLC.   I added stickles to the snow/ice areas and jelly glitter pen to the snowflakes.

Oh DEER

Today it was in the 70's here and we had rain throughout the day. However, tomorrow it is to be in the 90's and humid and is to the warmest day of the year for us which I'm not looking forward to.  Unlike the sentiment which I have on my card, and I will be complaining about in a few months.  The sentiment is from a wonderful set at TLC.  For my card, I used an image from Bugaboo that has a reindeer in a pocket with jingle bells.  I added a small bell as the center of my flower.  I also have stripe paper and a star circle.
