I have an uncle that unfortunately has been found to have bladder cancer and needs to undergo surgery.  He has been having complications and has not left the hospital since his diagnosis of the several tumors.  So this is a card that I made to send him since he usually has a great sense of humor.  The image is from Art Impressions and the sentiment is from TLC.

After roses, tulips are one of my favorite flowers.  I am so lucky that I have great friends.  Life has been challenging lately and last week my friend Teresa gave me a bouquet of pink tulips and last night my friend Barb gave me a red rose.  Even with all the difficulties I am so blessed with wonderful friends.
For my card, I made an easel card (one of my favorite layouts), using a Bugaboo image and a TLC sentiment.  The patterned papers are available at Imagine That Digistamp and on sale called Blossoms & Bugs.

I've had this image colored for quite some time, but I just haven't put it together until tonight.  This is the image for the Sasayaki Glitter Progressive Challenge #7 - Cupcake Kitty, and the sentiment is from TLC.
I have three Siamese cats and I would usually like to color the cat that color, but it has been depressing that my male cat has been loosing weight lately.  I took him to the vet this fall and his labs were normal and she couldn't find anything wrong with him.  I took him back and to my shock he has lost 3 pounds and was down to 6.3 pounds!  She believes that he has an abdominal lymphoma and I didn't want to do a scan since it would take a week or two to have it performed so instead I wanted to start him on Prednisolone which is a steroid to try to help him feel better and buy us some time.  My son is in South Carolina until June which she didn't think it would buy him that much time.  She said it was not steroids for humans that would stimulate his appetite, but that doesn't seem to be the case he is now wanting snacks, treats and to eat.  I weighed him today one week later and he is 7 pounds.  So now I hope she is wrong and it is a gastritis and my denial will change if he begins to loose weight again.

I haven't done the Card Concept Challenge in quite some time, but this one really intrigued me.  Paulette at TLC get put out some charcoal papers so I used one for  this card as well as the sentiment.  The sentiment I crumpled and distressed with ink.  For the heart I did a Spellbinder die and dry embossed it and then rubbed it with a copper ink.  I used Core-dinations papers so when I embossed them I also sanded them to pop out the color underneath and distressed the edges.

I feel like I am just like the stores that as soon as Valentine's is done I already have an Easter card made.  I just can't help it since I just love Mo Manning images and I haven't colored one in some time.  The sentiment and patterned paper is from TLC.
