Hello Spring

 Today we have it raining all day and I have large puddles all over my yard. The birds were playing in them and it was driving my cat crazy. I know we need the rain, but I want more sun and some warmer weather. I made this card at the beginning of the month, but just haven't had a chance to post it. It is using some dies that I have had and just not used.

I have actually done some coloring lately, but this card I wanted to use my die cuts since I just feel that I don't use them enough and I have sooooo many. I felt like a kid in art class.

He is Risen

I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy. I am still working, but my work as a nurse has been slow. I work in insurance and we have less people having surgery and in the hospital. But the people in the hospital are sick. It just makes me sad that no matter how sick they are they can't have many visitors, even if they are dying which breaks my heart. So that's why I craft....to deal with my stress. I was asked why I am making so many cards right now. I cannot see my family or friends and I know that people are suffering physically and emotionally so that is my way of dealing with it.
And for the upcoming Easter holiday in another vintage looking card, I found a freebie image that I had in my stash from Magic Moonlight and a sentiment I put on the bottom from TLC, Create.  I distressed the papers. I added a couple of butterflies with some bling, some roses and a gold ribbon.

Bunny with Basket

I am planning to get around to blogs this weekend....this working is interfering with my crafting time. I wanted to post this card where I found an image from Mo Manning, Bunny with Basket that I colored up a LONG TIME agon and it was sitting in a pile. So I grabbed a patterned paper from TLC, Create.  I dry embossed a white piece of cardstock and then spritzed with Glimmer Mist. I added some flowers and flourishes and hid some eggs between the flowers. And naturally the bunny needed a pom tail. I did the basket in green that reminded me of the plastic ones that I had as a child.

Tulip Bunny Gift Bag

I think that everyone is feeling the panic of what is happening with the virus and going stir crazy from not being able to be social, but for us crafters to be crafting is not as bad as others.  I am still having to go to work, but I have offered to donate projects to my daughter who is a school teacher and she refuses them. We have patients who are upset about their routine clinic appointments being cancelled and when they are offered televisits or phone calls they are upset with that option. I understand that it's not ideal, but it's for their protection. Now this morning I had my microwave oven "go out" and I don't use it that often, but now it's just another inconvenience to deal with right now.  Luckily for the world my coffee pot still works, lol.
For my anything but a card project I had to laugh, because I made a gorgeous gift bag for my daughter....just don't know if I will be able to give it to her, lol. It is using the image Tulip Bunny that I put onto a gift bag that I picked up from Target.  Oh well....there is always next year.  Hang in there and stay safe.

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug and it's to make a card with Unusual Folds so I made a Side Step Card (I reversed it to have the image on the right and the step on the left). Well I survived my first two days of work.  I feel exhausted though when you have to learn things. Hip & Hop and Big News

Well I have been wanting to make this card for sometime to re-cycle or upcycle.  I used a tag and twine that I got from a Black Sheep that I bought as a decoration for Easter.  I thought  it looked vintage and was perfect for a card.  I pulled the twine out and cut it into three pieces and put it back into the tag.  I also have some BIG news that I got a nursing job so I have to start working full time on March 19th so I have one more week of freedom.  It will be great to have health care benefits again instead of paying for horrible insurance.  It has been nice to not have stress and I have to knock on some wood, but I have not had any colds or sinus infections this past year and I have been exercising regularly so I just hope that I continue with my good behaviors when I go back to work. I will also have to go to bed at a decent time.

This Saturday starts a new Challenge at Catch the Bug.  This week is a Color Challenge.  I used Egg tulip peeker and a sentiment from TLC, Create.  These are gorgeous pastels so have fun.  Tulips are one of my favorite flowers.
Today will be a busy day have to try to get some photos of Lyra, my BFFs Granddaughter who is now one year old if she cooperates.  Then meeting some friends for dinner and a movie.  WOW that is a full day for me, lol.  Just hope it's full of smiles and giggles.
