Bunny with Basket

I am planning to get around to blogs this weekend....this working is interfering with my crafting time. I wanted to post this card where I found an image from Mo Manning, Bunny with Basket that I colored up a LONG TIME agon and it was sitting in a pile. So I grabbed a patterned paper from TLC, Create.  I dry embossed a white piece of cardstock and then spritzed with Glimmer Mist. I added some flowers and flourishes and hid some eggs between the flowers. And naturally the bunny needed a pom tail. I did the basket in green that reminded me of the plastic ones that I had as a child.

Well this year when I Christmas shopping the last week before Christmas they already had Valentines items in the store and I was surprised. Not that I should be because soon it will be after St. Patrick's Day they will be putting Valentine's stuff out again, lol. And, I'm already working on my Valentine's cards since I send them to my family....usually because I am horrible about getting my Christmas cards mailed out.
For this card, I used the new Stella Says Sketch that starts today at Catch the Bug. My image is Love Ewe.  For my background, I dry embossed it with little hearts from Cuttlebug and then sprayed it with 3 different colors of Glimmer Mist colors so it has a sparkle. On the sides I added some sparkly Washi tape that matched perfectly. Then I fussy cut out the image and had the heart be red instead of pink so it would stand out. Celebrate Cupcake Tag

Today starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug, and this is a total switch in gears after the all the Christmas. Today is a photo inspiration with a color challenge.  For this card, I used the Celebrate Cupcake Tag and right now it's only $1.  I dry embossed the background with birthday sentiments and then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist. It has a nice sparkle which doesn't photograph well.

Reliable as Dad

My Dad did a lot of work on my house the past few years; however, since I went back to work he has not been around much.  He would come with my Uncle who is younger than my Dad and a family friend and both of them have had health issues so my Dad has been left doing his own work by himself so he doesn't have time to help me.  Which is understandable since he is almost 74 years old.  He answers all my questions though.
For my card, I sprayed Glimmer Mist on the paper and used a pre-colored tool box from Dee Dee's which went out of business over 3 years ago. The sentiment is from TLC, Create. I found some cork ribbon and tape measure ribbon which I thought was fitting for this card.

Saturday starts a new challenge at Catch the Bug and for the first weekend it's Anything Goes.  I actually made two samples today.  So for my first card, I used one of the images from Valentine Circle Sentiments.  For this card, I used my Scalloped Heart Spellbinder Die Cut  on a piece of white cardstock and then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist to get the splatter effects. I added a heart gem and then some sequins.

Thanks for coming to my Rescue

When I had my sinus surgery on Monday, my parents got up at 2 am so that they could drive to get me to the hospital for my procedure for 6 am. On the way, my Dad, actually asked me in case I would have to stay in the hospital overnight and they would stay at my house...what would he need to do to take care of my cats...that was enough to put me into shock. However, when I asked him what the surgeon said after I woke up he told me that Dr. Anderson said to get rid of my cats because they were the cause of all my sinus problems. I had a friend tell me that I should have had my Dad clean the kitty litter since I am not suppose to bend or lift for the week, but I didn't think to have him do it. 🤣I am so thankful to have my parents that were willing to come drive me and stay in case I needed. This is the card I made for them.
The image is from Bugaboo, Mini set flower block silhouettes and the sentiment is from TLC, Create.  I inked all the edges of the papers with Memento ink.  The embossed image I sprayed with Glimmer Mist that was a light pink in color.  I used Distress Oxide Inks and blended them over the stamp. Then I mist water over the image and heat it to set the color.

Pierrette with balloon HB

Imagine That Digistamp has Thursday Inspiration and here is the card that I made using the pre-colored image from the Pierrette stamp set.  I put Glossy Accent on the balloon.  I sprayed the flowers with Glimmer Mist and distressed the sentiment with ink.  I am trying to add some cards to my birthday stash.  I just love this stamp set since it comes with a bunch of wonderful sentiments.

I usually have a lot of chaos going on, but I don't know if it's the full moon or if some of the stress has gotten to me; however, I had problems following this sketch.  If you are a regular follower of mine you know that I like doing sketch challenges and for some reason.....I didn't do this one exactly as outlined.  I realized it but I still put it together since I liked the background paper that I made by using some splashes of Tattered Angels and Glimmer Mist sprays.  I guess I was more worried about the color challenge for Inky Paws than the sketch.
I also had to do my cat as a Siamese since I have three - actually they have me.  One of them needed a hair cut due to some matts that she had.  With some of the remodeling in my office she found a new bin that I got for some envelopes to hide in.

The true story

I have sat down several times in the past 24 hours to post this card and something comes up that I get pulled away....so I think I will finally get it done this time.  The wonderful sentiment is from TLC and the image is from Sasayaki Glitter and is for the Progressive Challenge.  I made my background paper by spraying 3 different colors of Glimmer Mist on a piece of Water Color Paper.
I finally got a chance to see my friend that surprised us with getting married last weekend, and it is their second marriage.  They have been together for several years so the thought was not surprising it was just that we found out about it on Facebook.  The reason they did it so quickly is so that then she would qualify for his health insurance so they got married before January 1 when she would have had to pay the premium on her insurance policy.  I get it, and I have been discussing that same thing with my boyfriend because health premiums are getting so costly.  He is already paying for a family plan since he is carrying his 23 year old daughter so I told him to marry wouldn't cost him anything extra because  he is already paying the family premium.  Not sure if he quite agrees, hehe.  He is committed to our relationship, but still getting over that his wife divorced him after 20 years of marriage.  So he has some unresolved issues, and men don't talk about their issues like women.  Just give us some wine and cheese and we can solve it in an hour.  It's sad, but I can easier spend money on crafting supplies than health insurance and to make it worse I am a nurse so I understand the importance of health care.  However, I like pretty ribbon and embellishments.......
So I need a man on a horse to carry me away as long as he can have a wagon for all my crafting supplies, hehe.  Now the real world it is a cold day in WI and I live in my own house with 3 naughty Siamese cats, and I have a wonderful boyfriend who lives 7 miles away in his house with 2 spoiled Siamese cats and we each have our own health plans.
