I finally completed my Viva la Verve card today.  I have been working on some DT cards that I will be posting this weekend.  For this card, I used an image from 2 Cute Ink from the November Club it is the Poinsettias.  I heat embossed the sentiment from Verve which I think is retired from Winter Wonders remixed.

I pulled out my stamps which I just don't seem to use often enough and I found this one that I had from when my kids were young and I embossed it in silver.  I decided to make my card silver and gold which are truly my favorite colors.  So I have dry embossing and heat embossing on this card.  The only odd thing is that I actually didn't put a sentiment on the outside and saved it for the inside.  I didn't want to take away from my image or the circles.

It is my Uncle's Birthday the last week in November so I needed a masculine card.  I just never seem to have enough in my stash.  For this card I used some Spellbinder dies and heat embossed a Verve sentiment.  I distressed the edges of my paper with the Tim Holtz distress tool and I inked the white paper,

I don't know if anyone was having frustration with the changes that Blogger made and feeling that more should have been done to explain how to navigate the updates.  I felt lucky that my daughter was here today, and she helped me to navigate when I was struggling and ready to pull my hair out.  She had never worked on my blog before so it was hard to explain, but she was able to find the items for me, ARGH!!!
Well, that aside, Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends in the United States.  And to those elsewhere, I am still thankful for all my friends and loving support and kind words.  I look to this community for relaxation and to relieve stress and it is wonderful to meet wonderful people along the way.
For my card, I sprayed Glimmer Mist on the paper and after it dried I heat embossed the sentiment.  I dry embossed the snowflake background on white paper.  This is the color combo this week at JUGS which I found to be a lot of fun.

White on White Merry Christmas

I made this White on White card and my boyfriend said to me, "Why is your card all white?"  when I explained to him that it was for a challenge he said do they all have specific rules, and I just laughed and nodded my head as I showed him on-line.  I always laugh about my card making is so that I relax and escape from the reality of life, but now my boyfriend doesn't understand since this life has lots of rules and restrictions too and I have to laugh.  I guess I just don't think about it the same way as I do about all the rules and regulations for Nursing and Home Care when it comes to Medicare and Medicaid and the such, hehe.

So here is my white embossed dry and wet (in silver) card.  It has a white pearl and two silver brads.

A Meow-tain of fun slider card

I originally got this stamp for my Dad's birthday since he complains about my three Siamese cats EVERY TIME that I talk or see him, and it gets so old.  So my new answer since he doesn't seem to hear me that I'm not going to get rid of any of my cats is that my boyfriend is going to move in with me and he has two Siamese so there will be FIVE.  So that is why I got this stamp for his birthday.  Now, I've had requests for it so I did it again, but this time I got the slider die.

Warm Winter Wishes

We went from being 70 degrees on Thursday to be in the 40's today with it being very windy so it is a significant change.  So having a snowman card is totally appropriate.  The sentiment is from a great set at TLC.  The image is called Snowman with Tree Hat and the papers are from the Eskimo Friends Kit.  I have a battery on this card so that it lights up.

I colored this image last year, but never put a card together so I finally did it.  The image is from Mo Manning and is called Harvest Samoset, and then for my card I used a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I found some great ribbon at the fabric store that looks like the side of this little guys pants.  I also added some pearls and buttons along with the hemp.

I just love the new stamps that Miss Rach has out in her store.  Here is one that she has called Shy Dragon and it is available in her store - which she is having a sale right now so it is an awesome deal.  The sentiment is from TLC.  I had to post this card and I will post the details and challenges later.  Today I met my daughter's 4th grade class for a field trip and I gave her this card.  It worked out well it was a moment when she was stressing and two other teachers were there telling her to chill out and I handed her the card, and I showed them a picture of the card which they thought was perfect for her.

Here is a card that I made using the pre-colored image from Pink Gems called Santa stop here Chilly and then I have a sentiment from TLC.  We are predicted to get some snow on Saturday, but they say it is not to last. A gift for you

My boyfriend's daughter, Lisa has her birthday tomorrow, and this is a pop up card that I made for her.  It is using a new die that I got from Elizabeth Crafts called Gift Card Accordion and then I got the coordinating Flourish Gift Frame.  She has never been to Cracker Barrel so I got her a gift certificate for there and the colors matched perfectly to this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge.  She was so excited about the card and plans to re-gift it because she thought it was so impressive.

Weren't you old enough last year?

My Uncle Dennis, who is my Dad's youngest brother, would come and help my Dad work on my house.  I have a picture below of him working on my garage roof.  His birthday was on Friday so this is the card that I made for him which is using a sentiment from TLC and an image from Doctor Digis.  I found this background which I thought was perfect from Digital Delights.  Then the brads look like phillip screws which are perfect for the project.
