 I colored this image a long time ago, but found it now when I was moving. I put it together at the beginning of the month, but didn't get a chance to post it until a few minutes before the sketch challenge closed, whew. I just wish that I had more time to play; however, work and my daughter's wedding planning is keeping me busy. I just love this image and didn't want to let it go to waste.

Merry Christmas with pinecones

Growing up in Wisconsin and being raised out in the country, we always had lots of pinecones around. Now I love when I go into the craft stores or places where they have them scented with cinnamon. It just reminds me of the large trees from the woods and seeing fresh white snow on them during the winter. I just love this Tim Holtz die cut and it goes perfectly with the HSS sketch.

May your Holidays Sparkle

I was having fun playing with some Distress Oxides and then I decided to use some for this sketch. They are not the traditional colors for Christmas, but that's was intrigued me. I also found some ribbon that I had recycled from a gift. I dry embossed the white background and then pulled out some snowflake die cuts and put a pearl in the center of the smaller ones. Then used a My Favorite Things Christmas Sentiment that I have had for quite sometime as a freebie set.

I have my second Christmas card for this month so that I keep up with the stash.  For this there is a challenge at Christmas Card Throwdown for a Silhouette card so I thought it would be perfect to use my Spellbinder die cut. I am on a vintage kick this past week. I think it's because Easter is on my Grandmother's birthday and I miss her and it brings back memories of old.  So here is a Christmas card that I made using a sentiment from TLC, Create which I covered with Distress ink.  I used the image from Graphic Fairy.  I distressed the edges of my paper and cardstock.  I added a feather that I had behind the image.

Animals do speak to those who listen

I made an easel card using the Mo Manning image Feed the Birds and I made my own sentiment. The patterned papers are from Imagine That Digistamps. When you feed animals I feel that you do so because you have a genuine love for animals. Especially in winter to see them survive through the difficulties of finding food. So I think this wee one is learning how to do that and loves that the bird has landed on her head.

Today at Tuesday Morning Sketches it is another revisited sketch and this is one that I chose.  I made two samples with this layout. For the first one I punches three Fiskar snowflakes on glitter cardstock and put a sentiment on the middle and sequins on the other two. Then put these snowflakes on a piece of light blue vellum.
For my second card, I used images from Bugaboo Rose Trio. I colored them with Copics and mounted it on a piece of Glossy navy paper and added some light blue sequins.
