Nuts for You

 Well I'm trying to get my Christmas cards done for the month which is getting harder and harder at this time of year when I am thinking of flowers instead of snow.  I have images that I have sitting that I have been wanting to color so I have been trying to get them done. And this one just makes me smile with this cutie. Another Mo Manning image and it reminds me of my son since we have so many squirrels in our yard.

Snow be It

Well so far I'm getting my Christmas cards done at least a couple each month so I'm happy about that. This week at Christmas Card Throwdown the challenge is to do a herringbone technique. The have links for it on the site.  Lately I have been like I don't have time to learn new things, but since I can't go shopping at non-essential stores I found some extra time, lol. Since I still haven't found the desire to clean. Getting supplies right now is taking FOREVER, even with Amazon Prime. So I was fortunate that Target had some spray adhesive so that's what I used to adhere my strips.  I cut them 1/2 and 3/4 inch wide and oh my I had FUN! My sentiment is from TLC, Create. I did some die cuts and a bling and there you go!

Today at Tuesday Morning Sketches it is another revisited sketch and this is one that I chose.  I made two samples with this layout. For the first one I punches three Fiskar snowflakes on glitter cardstock and put a sentiment on the middle and sequins on the other two. Then put these snowflakes on a piece of light blue vellum.
For my second card, I used images from Bugaboo Rose Trio. I colored them with Copics and mounted it on a piece of Glossy navy paper and added some light blue sequins.

Let it Snow

We are scheduled for snow the next few days, and I am not trying to encourage anything. However, I got some new snowflake dies from Tim Holtz and Birch Press and just love how they look together. The papers on the inside are shimmer which don't show up well in the photo and then I added some brads. The snowflakes on the outside are glitter and shimmer along with sequins.

Baby it's COLD Outside

This card is for my post for the Tuesday Morning Sketch 535 for the Annual Anything Goes. For this challenge I used an image from Mo Manning Chill, and a sentiment from TLC, Create. I found ribbon with bling in it. The snowflake sequins are two different colors a white and clear and they just don't photograph well. The white ones have blue sequin centers and the clear have white sequin centers. I think put glitter on her fur of the hat and jacket.

Love doesn't melt

Love doesn't melt and neither does the 5 inches of snow that we got this weekend because it's been so cold. It's actually too cold to go out to play in the snow and make a snowman or snowcouple. Celebrate Fifty

On Friday, I had to take my best friend for a surgical procedure so it was a crazy day.  Yesterday it was in the 40s here after we had it so cold, so that the 7 inches of snow that we got last week melted.  Now today we are expecting to have freezing rain...we can't win with this weird weather.  So I have been in a strange mood...so I decided to make a birthday card for my -ex husband who is EXACTLY 6 months older than me.  He is paranoid about aging so it is a revenge since I can point out his age, hehe.  I am mean...and it isn't a full moon.  I think age is only a number and you are only as old as you feel.  As a nurse we would refer to people being "old" for their age or "young" for their age and I totally agree.
For my card, I used a sentiment from TLC, Create.  I put three snowflakes on it with some twine, and kept it simple.

Sweet winter wishes coming your way

We had actual temp of 41 so it was 50 degrees warmer than yesterday - WOW!!!  It feels like a heat wave!!!  It will only be a few days, and by Sunday we will be back down to 9 and below zero wind chills again.  People's mood changes so drastically with the weather so hopefully they will be HAPPY for the next few days.  They said it has been 40 days since we had it this temperature.
For my card, I used the My Favorite Things Sketch.  I tried to have it look like a tree with some wildlife and a winter scene.  I heat embossed the sentiment in navy.  Added some stickles on the hats and the top of the snow.

Today at Bugaboo is a New Release and this adorable image with Three Snowmen is available.  Grab it this week when it is on sale for 50% off.  I used a sentiment from TLC, Create for this card.  I put Sakura jelly glitter pen on the snowflakes and Stickles on the snow.
I will be leaving this morning to start my travels to see my son.  This will be over a 1000 mile drive and take me over 16 hours of driving to get there.  I'm not sure if I will have internet access to be able to comment on your cards/projects for the next week so if I'm missing you will know why.

Baby it's COLD outside

That's how I felt today as I was finishing up my leaves, the sun was shining, but it was only in the 40's with a cool breeze.  The sentiment is from TLC, Create.  They are talking about getting some snow during the night and on the weekend...just not sure that it will stay at this time.  The pre-colored image is from Paper Shelter, Snow Angel.  I made an easel card which is one of my favorite layouts.

Snowman Couple

I spent the day outside dealing with my leaves it was sunny, but it was only about 42 today.  So I had to come in the house several times to blow my nose and warm up since my finger tips and toes were freezing.  I have some left to do tomorrow.  I'm trying to get it done before we are to get some snow on the weekend and Thursday and Friday we are to be in the 30's.  Now, I've been chilled all night.  Even typing...I keep making mistakes because my fingers are rigid.
Enough complaining.  This is a fun card....I made using an image that I won from Crafty Sentiments called Snowman Couple.  I embossed the white background with stars and added some pearls.
